I’m a bit obsessed with skincare now that I’m older and I’ve heard a lot of benefits from the snail mucin creams, which is why I got this product. The snail mucin part grosses me out a bit in my head but I figured it as a face cream wouldn’t be so gross to me once I saw it, which is true, if your similar to me I’d like to tell you it looks like any other skin cream product so the grossness will just be in your head! This is a smooth cream that glides easily over the skin. I don’t notice any visible results yet but it feels nice on the face and I absolutely love that it comes with an applicator so I don’t have to touch it as much lol. It still grosses me out a bit which makes me slightly reluctant to apply it regularly but i still do! I don’t know if this part is in my head or not but part of the creams consistency does remind me of like a snail trail which is why I took a star but maybe I’m weird. I might even try this refrigerated for a refreshing cooling effect in the summer months!

I’m new to slugging and I’m not 100% sure I love it. I do think it added some moisture for me but I don’t know if it made the difference enough to keep this in my routine longterm.
With this you wash your face and do your regular toning and night time moisturizing and then use this as a last step to kind of seal it all in. This definitely feels like putting Vaseline on your face. Don’t expect it to sink in and do plan on either needing a towel to sleep on or using an old pillowcase. I usually like to use silk pillowcases for my hair and skin, but with this on my face that would be a disaster. I did eventually get comfortable and was able to sleep, and when I woke up in the morning my skin did feel soft and luckily not irritated or with any blemishes just like this claims.
You are meant to use this a couple times a week and I plan to use the jar up before deciding whether to keep going with it or not. I do deal with very dry skin so if continued use helps with that it’ll be worth it. I will say it did make a difference already so it might be worth the sliminess! Also, no matter what I do the interior of the lid/inner lid gets oily. Every time I open it it’s oily again no matter how much a wipe it out. Just letting others know.
I recommend it if you are looking for extra moisture and can deal with the petroleum-like sensation!

This is my first experience with a product like this. It’s an extra step in your night beauty routine that you put on after you have completed all your normal steps, like another layer of moisturizer that locks your first layer of moisturizer in. I don’t even know if it really ever actually fully absorbs or just comes off on your pillow while you sleep, either way I’m happy with it because it has helped my dry middle aged skin very much

This is my first time trying slugging, and with my dry skin, I thought I would give it a try. The balm was separated in the jar with a lot of oil sitting on the top when I first opened it, which was expected, and turned into the consistency of Vaseline after stirring it up. It was a pretty strange feeling and felt very wrong slathering it all over my face, but my skin felt extremely smooth and hydrated in the morning. I usually sleep on silk pillowcases and made sure to use a regular cotton pillowcase instead, and I am glad I did, because I toss and turn not matter how hard I try to sleep on my back and there was some that got on the case-no biggie though. I also made sure to put my hair up and go to sleep with a cotton headband as well to keep my hair from sticking to my face. I did get nice results with this product, but I am not sure how often I am willing to do this though.

This slugging balm is not as thick compared to other ones that I have tried. It spreads very easily onto my skin. Thanks to it being not as thick, I can easily spread a very thin layer onto my skin. After you spread it onto your skin, it feels like you have a very thin layer of oil sitting on the surface of your skin. It doesn’t clog my pores and when I wake up, it leaves my skin feeling SOOO soft and smooth!
It really does help lock in the moisture from my moisturizers. I usually have really dry, sensitive, and red skin but I did not notice any irritation from using this product. There is no scent. Since using this, I have noticed fewer dry spots on my skin. The instructions suggest not using this product every night. Only when you feel like your skin needs a little extra boost.
The oil from the product separates, making it very messy. The product arrived with no seal and before I even opened the product, there was already oil spilling out. The inside of the lid had oil all over after I opened the product. The packaging with the combination of the product separating has caused it to leak all over my table even though I store it properly. The bottom of the container leaks oil through the seams which is why it is leaking all over my table. Taking off 2 stars because of the messy packaging. They could really improve on their packaging for this product….

I have wanted to get into slugging for the longest time however, with acne prone skin it is very difficult to find something that won’t clog your pores. This product is exactly what I needed. It stays on all night and it’s very thick. However, it will not clock your pores or cause breakouts.

This Boost Breakout-Proof Slugging Balm is really amazing. I usually use this product for overnight, and you can definitely see the differences, especially the facial tone and the softness. It is also such great value for money!
