These bags contained quite a lot of Zinc Sulfate, and we will use them on future roof projects.

I use an old coffee creamer containers to spread the zinc on the roof. A strip close to the peak and another strip about half way down. It when it rains it starts washing down the roof and goodby mold.

Our property has a lot of tree cover, and with little sunlight our neighborhood gets humid. In turn this leaves our roof looking a bit green and mossy after a while. Over the summer I sprinkled this on the center of our roof and then did a quick spray with the hose to wet it down. Otherwise it will blow away as it is powdery. It also solidifies it making it drip down your roof nicely when it rains. Keep an eye on your gutter spouts, as it runs off it will eat away at your lawn. I bought pvc piping and drained it away from my lawn during any rainfall.

It is as advertised and a good product. I purchased this at a recommendation from my roof cleaner. Four stars because I will not be purchasing it again because it is such a fine powder and is corrosive. The slightest breeze and it blows off the roof and lands on lawns, plants, decks, and cars. Did it do the job of ridding or killing moss? YES!

This stuff is awesome. If you have moss growing on your roof, then this is the stuff for you. Moss really doesn’t like it. At all. I took a plastic peanut butter jar, drilled holes in the lid, and sprinkled this all over the moss on my roof. Two days later, the moss was mostly dead. I reapplied and no more moss problems. Well worth the money. I bought it because I didn’t want to put petrochemicals into the ground water. There’s too much of that stuff around as it is. Problem solved all the way around.

The moss is so bad this year. I wanted to try the zinc as not being as poisonous as other moss killers. I’m happy to say that it works even when applied in the winter in the Pacific Northwest.

We life in the NW with a lot of trees on our property and have been using other means of moss removal.
I looked at the ingredients of a major product and it listed this compound.
So far it sems to be working well.

Sprinkle it around on the mossy areas of your roof. No more moss for a couple years. What could be easier.
