It’s been my experience that Zicam actually shortens the time I have a cold. So, I really trust it to do so. Where I usually purchase it, has been out of it. Amazon is my go to when things I want and can’t find locally. I’ve never been disappointed.

Zicam is amazing if you can use these at the very first sign of a cold. You can avoid a cold all together. If you use them a little later – at the beginning of being sick – they still help shorten the duration. I love this product and have used it for years. Originally they had a gel you actually shot into your nostrils. The swabs are so much better and easier. it’s easy to take some with you when traveling! Recommend.

I’ve become a “ZiCam” spokesman-:)!! I was introduced to this product by a co-worker one day, at work. I felt it coming down on me (cold/Flu), she noticed and after having a conversation she offered me two ZiCam swabs (Unopened-:), gave instruction on how to use,, and I did immediately. By the 2nd swab I can truly say I felt so much better, and by the end of the day I was 83% back to normal. So now when someone shares they’re feeling like a cold’ or Flu is coming on, I suggest/recommend “ZiCam”. Most give me the look, I share my story and if I have any on me (which I carry constantly) I share, and say you let me know. Any Yes, they come back in agreement that this is a great product.

This product is great but abazón driver delivered, disregarded delivery instructions MUST ring doorbell Alert me!! He did not! Stayed outside Aug. AZ heat 116F for 4 hrs got products overheated, box was broken opened nasal swabs dried up, or super gooey.. label says DO NOT exceed 58-85F so product is trash 27. Down drain what a shame

All I can say is, I used these the first day of a rapid-onset head cold, and by the end of the first day, the sneezing, runny nose and swelling had all abated. I wasn’t a ball of fire, and it took me the week (it was a cold, after all) to get my energy back. But I so loved losing the symptoms first day. I did use the swabs 3 full days as recommended, as I felt a rebound start to creep up. Stopped the rebound in its tracks.

Zicam first came out soon after researchers discovered that while zinc does help with a cold, it’s best absorbed through the nasal membranes — and doing so will lessen the intensity and duration by 75%. (I had been trying to figure out how to get zinc up my nose and was consequently *so* excited to see their product hit the market! LOL) I have been madly in love with Zicam since and have recommended it to everyone. I was not at all dissuaded by the problems that some people had with it. Even when they temporarily discontinued the nasal swab version, I kept an eye on the ingredients of their other versions and would use the oral spray on q-tips in the same manner. (I made sure I was getting the same ingredients in the same dosage — don’t go nuts or anything.)
NOTE: this new version of the nasal swab does NOT contain zinc. If that’s what you’re looking for, read ingredients and shop around. This version is still relatively effective, just not quite as much as the original.
Use it right away, use it regularly (every 4 hours or so) until the virus passes, and you will never be bothered by another bad cold in your life. You’ll still have a cold, but *nothing* like the sort of nastiness you may have had in the past.
Important note for some people: Use as directed!! Don’t stick the swab way up your nose. Do not insert any higher than about 1/4 inch of the padded cotton tip.
Note about getting it from Amazon: I ordered “free next day delivery” and was worried that they would deliver it as late as possible the next day. Not so. Got it just after noon, so it was *perfect*.

We swear by this stuff in my family!The only trick is that you need to use it just as soon as you THINK you might be getting sick. I agree with the comments from people who use it preemptively when they are traveling on a plane, because you just know some bad germs are going to be floating around! As a teacher, I use it each cold/flu season as soon as the first student starts to sniffle. Hand-washing and hand sanitizing, and obsessively using Lysol wipes on desks, light switches, and doorknobs before the kiddos arrive and after they leave have NEVER worked for me. I used to get sick in October, and stay sick through April until my mother-in-law turned me onto Zicam Nasal Swabs! They are a true life saver, and so easy to use! However, they are not easy to find where I live, in any of the drug stores, so thank goodness for Amazon, another total life saver!
