This soap has a scent of fresh peeled oranges. Very fresh! Its consistency is similar to an apricot face scrub, if you remember when those were really popular. I used this after cleaning out a grease trap because I feel like I can never get it all off with regular soap… not even the trusty blue soap they used on the oily ducks.
The way this works is you put some on your hands dry, scrub it in, and then add water as you continue to scrub and rinse. The particles in the soap help to dig deep in all of the little creases of your hands to remove oils, odors and grime. Afterward, my hands were completely grease free. They did smell a little strange, so I ended up using a tiny bit of regular soap to scrub that smell off. Still way less soap than I would have had to use without the painter’s punch.
This soap has so many applications that it could be helpful for besides paint and grease. I plan on using it after fishing to get rid of the smell… if you fish, you know what I mean!
I highly recommend giving this a try. It’s a quality soap product that is easy to use and actually works. Just follow the instructions and watch all the gunk wash away.

This worked well in getting a bit of silicone caulk residue off my hands.

I used this to get some adhesive off of my hands, and it worked well! It has a pleasant smell and left my hands soft. The smell does linger, though, and though it’s pleasant, it’s not something I want to smell continuously. I washed my hands again with regular hand soap, and that did the trick.

I had to shake the container a bit beforehand because it looked like it was separating a little, but it was fine after that. Great product that works as described.

This painters punch hand cleaner reminds me of the orange hand cleaner. This one though appears to really work well with paint and adhesives especially caulk. I’ve used to to remove paint off my hands and arms as well as caulk after one of my tubes exploded everywhere on me. Works really well and has a nice scent that lingers but not too long.

When I paint, no matter how careful I am, I end up with almost as much paint on me as on the wall. This paint scrubber does a really good job of getting off wet and dried on paint on my hands, nails and arms. The bits of walnut help you scrub down but are small enough they don’t hurt your skin when you’re scrubbing.

My husband likes to work in the garage, and he also does some painting around the house as needed. I got this hand cleaner for him to use to clean his hands. He had been using a special bar of soap made for the same purpose. This hand scrub has a pleasant citrus scent and feels like pumice on his hands. That’s the walnut shells in the scrub. This product cleans the grease out of the cracks of his hands, and it also removes paint. It easily washes off and doesn’t leave any residue. It’s an amazing product and he only needs to use a small amount. He loves it!

I like to think that I’m halfway decent at grilling and smoking meat. Most weeks during the summer, you’ll find me outside cooking with one of the several smokers or grills that I own. In that endeavor, I go through hundreds of pounds of charcoal and meat every year. It’s kind of my thing.

Until I found this product, I used Dawn dish soap and lots of manual scrubbing with mixed results to wash my hands after cleaning my grills or messing with charcoal. It *mostly* worked, but it takes time and sometimes repeating the process several times to get actually my hands clean. This morning, I cleaned my Weber grill after an overnight cook. Coming in, my hands were wrecked with grease and charcoal dust. I decided this would be the perfect first test for Zenex.

I squeezed a small amount into my palm and rubbed my hands together for 15 seconds or so under warm water. I wasn’t really expecting a smell, but the Zenex smells faintly of citrus. After rinsing my hands, I was pretty impressed how clean they were with such little effort and product. I added pictures of each step for reference.

I’d recommend this product highly! It works and smells great and is way easier than my old method of Dawn, scrubbing, and time. I plan to keep this under my kitchen sink for when I need some extra punch with handwashing. Great product!

This hand cleaner includes ground walnut shells and, unsurprisingly, it feels much more abrasive than facial scrubs that use walnut shells. It feels more like very fine sand and it does help to scrub off dried paint, but it isn’t exactly gentle on the hands. Since this soap is listed as solvent-free I wasn’t expecting it to have a strong chemical smell but it smelled quite a bit like paint. I tried washing my hands with unscented dish soap after using the Zenex and even after 5 washes, I could still smell it. It took using a soap with a strong menthol, rosemary fragrance to cover the residual Zenex smell. I don’t know what ingredient led to the smell but I included a photo of the ingredient list so that people can determine if they will have any sensitivities to the ingredients. The texture of the soap is also apparent after I put some on a piece of paper in the photo. I did not have any negative reactions on my sensitive skin, although my hands were pink immediately after due to the abrasion.
