Pros: Does clean my skin as a first, (face) makeup-removing step before I go in with cleanser. gently exfoliates, the smell is nice but not overwhelming.
Cons:
Cleansing(?)-burning-stuck properties.
This is so conflicting. This doesn’t clean entirely, yet it’s also difficult to remove from my skin. It cannot get rid of eye makeup smudges, which I suppose is just as well because it also seems to burn a little on my undereye area. It seems sufficient at starting to remove base makeup. I suppose for all of this, because I need a second cleanser after this, it’s not that big of a deal that it’s difficult to remove from my skin. But holy entropy what a confused set of properties to have as a cleanser.
Packaging. Oh my goodness where to begin.
While it seems like the packaging would make this pretty compact and therefore travel-friendly, it also makes this product really awkward and inconvenient in pretty much every way. And, because I feel weird about closing up a product with moisture on its surface, it’s really not travel-friendly for me afterall. Its compactness is completely lost on me because again, I don’t feel comfortable about capping this while it’s still wet, so I leave it uncapped to dry. Ideally I’d cap it after it dries, but frankly I’m not going back and capping this sad little thing. Ain’t no one got time for another step to take care of the skincare that’s supposed to take care of them. So it basically lives uncapped. And for that, here are the shower options: live in the shower uncapped, as practically far from water as is possible within a shower; or bring into the shower to use, then take out of the shower when finished.
Size. The awkward giant size makes for awkward application. It’s difficult to get on the smaller places of my face (between my eyebrows, the sides of my nose, for example). So I used my fingers to rub it around, nbd. But If I needed more, then my hands were also slippery, and I had to have an odd gorilla-like dexterity to hang onto this stick.
I recently gave up on the stick format entirely, and just mashed it into a tin. (The tin for far superior The Body Shop’s Chamomile cleaning balm to be exact.) It’s still awkward because the consistency isn’t conducive to using it like a balm that you’d find in a tin, but I can manage to use the rest of it this way. There is absolutely no way I would ever use this as a one-step or last-cleanser product. And if you couldn’t tell, I would never purchase this entropy stick ever again. Not even for the $3.24 I paid the first/last time.
Edit: I gave up on this product, and went on to just make my own, simple balm cleanser. I thought I’d try to use my mashed-up version of this cleanser, by melting it and blending it with some of my cleanser ingredients. I tried to heat it up on low-power in short intervals in the microwave, just like I make my balm cleanser, but this cleanser violently exploded, and smelled like an fume-ridden chemical fire. My microwaved smelled worse than a first year university chemistry lab. 🙂 Now chemicals aren’t inherently bad. Yes To’s use of chemical-fear marketing and trending ingredients is a hilarious joke in the face of better-researched skincare. Just say no.

I’m all about product that work for a cheap price, I have normal skin, it does not irritate or cause any breakouts. I use this in the shower after washing with clean and clear face wash and this get my skin feeling more clean. It really takes off all the make up and eyelash glue with out using anything but my hands to massage it in. Love it I did notice a weird smell but i purchased this product at a local store and it had the same smell. I think it’s just the tomato stuff they use in it.

You know those annoying little bumps you sometimes get on the back of your arms? This helped clear that up for me. I keep it in the shower and use it on my chest, back, shoulders, and the back of my arms.

It’s just an “ehh” product for me. I was really hopeful for an awesome scrub-in-a-stick but have not be wowed at all. I wanted to get this because I broke my wrist, then had surgery for it, and haven’t been able to fully wash and scrub my face as well one-handed as I can normally. The stick seemed to be the answer. The smell is a huge thing for me so I use it as quickly as possible. I did not notice anything fabulous about it and it doesn’t seem to have as much grit in it as I would have liked. I will say that you do get a lot of product which is a good thing.

I really like the stick formula for cleaners and the ingredients in this one were the selling point for me. It rolls on smooth, there’s a TON of product, easy twist for getting more product out and it doesn’t slip down and need retwisting every use. It’s been an asset product to keeping my pores clean and it totally washes off all your oils. You can feel the gentle exfoliating particles which I appreciate on days I’m not doing a deep scrub with a scrubber.

I’ve been having issues with b.o. under my armpits recently. I tried different body washes/scrubs/deodorant but nothing has helped much. I decided this might help eliminate the smell. I use my regular body wash first, shave, then apply this and rinse. It has helped. The smell is gone for a few hours and I feel like the smell is not as stinky since adding this to my shower routine. The only thing is that I am not in love with the smell of the product when I am applying it thus the missing star.

I have sensitive combination skin. It easily gets too oily, but if I dry it out too much or exfoliate too harshly, it becomes very painful. This product is perfect for me. It smells fantastic – like real coconut and coffee. Not an artificial smell at all. It exfoliates well, I find it really gets all of the excess oil and dead skin off of my face without drying me out, and I love how simple it is to use. Plus, I find it really helps with my acne. Occasionally I will breakout on my shoulders or chest, and this product works just as well in those places to help clear everything up. Will purchase again and again. Even my boyfriend, who has been blessed with blemish-free skin, uses this product just because it smells so great and makes his skin feel soft.
