A few months ago, I got a bad batch of NOW psyllium. I was drawn in by the sale price, and I’m pretty sure I’d bought this stuff before. I don’t know if the QA department was asleep at the switch for this batch, but it produced mega-clumps without fail. Psyllium beads the size of peas remained at the top of the cranberry juice-grapefruit juice mixture for an hour. Stirring at strategic intervals didn’t solve this vexing issue. It was a hard lesson, but I got through it, and now I won’t question that Yerba Prima, the pride of Ashland, Oregon, is worth it. This particular product is psyllium plus some other types of fiber, so my system is adjusting and slightly gassy, but it’s a small price to pay. A smooth-ish drink that is clump-free and clears out the bowels without too much effort is an important component of a middle-aged lady’s sanity. Multiple thumbs up.

My husband uses this to help control really stubborn constipation associated w/a medical condition he has. Works gently, yet effectively. One of the only things he’s tried that doesn’t end up sending him too far the opposite direction. Taken once daily with a glass of drip drops hydration drink, and he has been feeling better than he has in ages.
