I’ve been suffering with allergies for my whole life, and did not know until 2016. I always thought not being able to breath through both nostrils at one time was normal.. Since 2016 I have tried around 8 allergy medications between oral and spray. They never helped with clearing inflamed nasal passages. I’ve never been able to breath through both sides of my nose at one time. Out of desperation, there was always a decongestant on my nightstand so I could breath at night. I’ve spent thousands on surgeries, medicines, rinsing machines, etc…I was always struggling to breath and woke up with headaches. The problem with the decongestant is that they are not meant for long term use. They cause rebound congestion making you dependent. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Found something that has helped. It has not alleviated the allergic rhinitis yet, but crossing fingers. The fact that I can breath brings me joy in itself. If you are desperate and want to try it. It’s very affordable. It has no rebound and is safe. This is a life saver for allergy sufferers. Now, I can’t speak about relief for sneezing or other things, just speaking about congestion and stuffiness. I’ve only been using it for barely a week, but WOW!!!!!! I’m on day two of using it together with Sterimar – and a fairly desperate situation has become manageable. The product is helping with unblocking my sinuses and, at the same time, making my nose less sore and calming the whole area. I don’t really care about the aftertaste of the product – it’s a minor issue. More importantly, it’s completely natural so it can be used as needed.

This is my second bottle of Xlear with Xylitol. Arrived within 2 days in good condition. My alIergist introduced me to this nasal spray to keep my nostril moist, and also to prevent the buring sensation when using Flonase. It has been totally life-changing! All my allergy syptoms are gone. I will stop using Flonase soon, will just use Xlear on its own, since very dry nostrils seems to be a cause of my endless sneezes. I’ve tried other saline nasal spray but they inevitably irritate my nostrils and also dry them out which makes my syptoms worse. Xlear is really a life-saver for me (it’s a saline spray but also a moisturizer).
As for the sweet taste of Xylitol (an artifical sweetener widely used in processed food) which some find unpleasant, I think the trick is to tilt the nozzle back toward your ear which is the direction of the sinus. It’s not intuitive. I had to watch a bunch of videos to realize I was using nasal sparys the wrong way the whole time. When I do it properly, I can hardly taste anything at all, and there won’t be any messy drips from the nose or the throat.

I originally bought the grapeseed extract version, it worked fine, but caused problems with my heart. Later I bought the version without grapeseed extract thinking that was the issue. Both worked great, cleared my head up, no lightheadness from allergies anymore. Unfortunately, it did something funny with my heart. It caused extra heartbeats (PVC’s). It always happened several hours later, so it took me a while to figure it out. When I take somthing new, I will always log it. After several days, I saw the pattern, it was the xlear causing trouble just the same as the grapseed extract did before this. I’m giving it a 4 star, because it probably works great for most people, just not me.

If you don’t want to use a humidifier, saline nasal sprays are one of your better alternatives. For me, it saves me money and time. And actually, saline spray helps me handle dry air better than a humidifier
Anyways. I have chronic sinusitis. One nostril opens, one closes. And it switches from nostril 2 nostril everyday, all year. Living in a high rise building, along with Chicagos dry seasonal air, doesn’t help. This product helped a lot with keeping both nostrils moisturized and open. And best of all, I can use this everyday – because its not a habit forming drug included. This also helps with my nasal drip. Before, the muscus would just sit in my upper sinus, now it drians down my throat ( the way it should).
I recently caught a “rona infection” (cant type the name, because Amazon blocks reviews, but u should know what I’m typing about). The infection closed both of my nostrils. It was a nostril inflammation that I wasn’t use to. I used this product (it burned a little because my sinuses were inflamed) but after 2-3 days of using this product, the inflammation went waaaayyyy down & and I could actually breathe again. I’m not saying this cured me from Rona, but it assisted me MAJORLY during my battle. I just used this and let my immune system handle the rest.
I don’t know if I’ll buy this product again. Mainly because of the price. The ingredients in this is product are simple things that I can buy in bulk, right here off Amazon, and make my own sinus mist – and thats what I plan on doing.
