    The taste is bad but the good thing it passes fast, its more of a sensation overwhelming ammonia and there is no aftertaste. I did what the others say, mix some honey in it, hold your breath and drink like a shot chased with juice.
    I have taken other cough syrup that was worse and left an aftertaste, this is unpleasant going down but it does not linger. it did not bother my stomach in any way.

    I have had a cough from post nasal drip for awhile. Antihistamines made me too dry and i got hoarse from them. i didn’t want to take anything drying to make that worse so i got this. I took it for the first time and about 2 hours later i noticed i had no urge to clear my throat, no PND, no cough. it lasted a good 6 hours up until i went to bed.

    While I doubt that these strong ingredients are ok to use daily long term, I am hoping that i can break the cycle of the cough and clear things up a bit. May still have to go see an ENT to get to cause of nasal drip but for now its giving me relief.

    Ahh, Buckley’s…how I love you.
    I’ve used this product since childhood, for my child and now my grandchild during cold & flu season. My father used to use it for smoker’s cough until he quit. It simply just works. Use as directed.
    Helpful Hints: my grandson (a teenager) holds his nose while taking the teaspoon of Buckley’s and he doesn’t taste it.
    : breathe deeply after taking Buckley’s to get the vapours into the lungs. You’ll have a good cough to get up the nasty stuff stuck inside.
    It works.
    Arrived on time, packaged well. Quite expensive nowadays, but Buckley’s is worth it.

    Just opened my package and I have a few concerns. Here’s a few pros and cons:

    PROS:
    -I have Prime, so I had quick delivery and my package came undamaged. Medicinal box was sealed.
    -The taste is most definitely NOT a pro. It is vile. When all the reviews say it is absolutely disgusting, they are not exaggerating. HOWEVER, the first dosage definitely calmed my cough almost immediately. *Pro tip, have honey or some sort of liquid next to you to chase it down because you will feel like you’re gonna vomit once the medicine is in your mouth.

    CONS:
    -Initially opening the bottle, there is an overwhelmingly, strong smell of pine. One of the ingredients in the medicine is pine needle oil. In general, I don’t favor the scent of pine, so that was hard for me to disregard.
    -So I noticed some reviewers mentioning about the seal in the bottle NOT being intact despite the box itself not being open. I also had the same issue. That is problematic and I’m more than sure that it’s not supposed to be that way. One reviewer mentioning the same issue also stated that the consistency they received was watery, and wasn’t as thick as it should be (assuming he/she has been taking this before). This is my first time trying it and my consistency was in fact thick. So I’m questioning what is the right consistency since I haven’t seen much reviews mentioning about it (note: I scrolled through a lot but was not going to look through all 500+ reviews…). However, I still can’t overlook that there was no seal outside or in the bottle.

    To sum it up, I’ve had a bad cough on and off for almost over 4 weeks now and was desperate. Despite no seal being on or in the bottle, I did take a dosage of it. So far has it helped, yes. Is the taste doable, absolutely not. It is NASTY. I advise to have something to chase it down with —- juice, tea, whatever. The packaging even mentions about taking it with equal parts honey if you’d like – that is a sign from manufactures that the medicine’s taste is wild.

    As a child my grandmother would buy Buckley’s from K-Mart. You could not find it anywhere else. It was soo nasty to me as a child and now as an adult it is still nasty!!!! But THIS STUFF REALLY WORKS!!! It gets down in your chest and breaks the phlegm up. The wheezing stops and you can rest better. I am soooo glad I found this on here. I only ordered one bottle but I am about to order another. Oh yeah it arrived when Amazon said it would, the box was not damaged, the seal was not broken and the expiration date is not until 2025!

    The medicine smells and tastes awful. It worked just a little for me but worked very well for my daughter. The cap fit as expected and the box was only dented because of packaging and delivery so no big deal. I would suggest you give it a try. I have a severe case of respiratory distress with lots of drainage down the back of my throat and I am over 75 so that’s probably why it did not work that well for me but my daughter raves about it
