I’ve taken saw palmetto for a year now, it does help with hair growth and filling out your figure. My bust and hips have gotten bigger from it but I take this mainly for my hair and my thinning edges due to psoriasis. I didn’t realize how bad my hairline was until I saw the growth.
I usually take the horbaach labs saw palmetto. That one is three pills a day for 3600mg of saw palmetto and tbh that was too many of one pill if you’re taking other things. I only used to take 1 maybe 2 of those a day to get results in a few months which is 1200, 2400 mg. This brand is PERFECT FOR ME because 1 pill is 1250 mg.
Also these pills are significantly darker than the horbaach brand look at the picture. This makes me raise an eyebrow because they’re the top reviewed brand for saw palmetto pills. Saw palmetto powder is brown, this brand is brown but horbaach labs is grey. Horbaach labs claims 3600 mg of ONLY saw palmetto but in the ingredients the first one is rice powder. This brand doesn’t contain rice powder but it does contain beta sitosterol that helps lower cholesterol. Also pygeum bark that helps men and women with urinary health. Both of these as well as saw palmetto are DHT blockers. There’s more benefits on the male side but I’m a woman and what I’m saying is hormonal and hair loss issues? TAKE THIS!
I will no longer use horbaach labs because this is a better option with actual ingredients that are proven to work and matches the anatomy of the plant it is derived from.

If you’re a male over the age of 40, you’re likely familiar with Saw Palmetto and it’s relationship to decreased nighttime bathroom trips. I’ll skip all that and head directly to the review of this particular supplement.
Supplements are regulated like foods by the FDA, so restrictions are much looser than for drugs. In addition, claims regarding efficacy aren’t often backed by science, so I don’t review supplements based on those claims. There are simply too many personal variables to definitively determine how a supplement will affect an individual. So instead I rate them based on ingredients, 3rd party testing, the company’s reputation, and dosage cost.
The ingredients in Gold Health Saw Palmetto are:
1,000mg Saw Palmetto standardized to 45% fatty acids
500mg Beta Sitosterol – plant sterol may improve symptoms of an enlarged prostate
200mg Pygeum Bark – helps shrink enlarged prostates
Vegetable Cellulose – Capsules
Magnesium Stearate – fatty acid “flow agent” for anti-clumping and slowing the absorption and breakdown of drugs
None of these ingredients raise any red flags, and all combine synergistically to help with problems associated with an enlarged prostate. All good there.
