    This is the second round of this soap I have ordered. Love that I got rid of so much clutter in the shower. One bar lasts months. Does not dry out skin or hair.

    Woody’s is my favorite soap. It’s a big, long lasting and has great lather. The scent is not overpowering.

    Using my Amazon account as a bit of a calendar — June 26, 2010 was my first order of Woody’s meat and potatoes bar soap bar. March 22, 2014 is when I first ordered the green moisturizing bar. I’ve been using these two products for over a decade each.

    Until the submission date of this post and until I hear that the company has gone back to the old formula.

    Sometime in late 2022/2023 as other reviews have pointed out, the formula changed for their soap bars. I’ve placed five orders for products in 2023/2024 hoping and wishing that it was just a bad batch. February 2023 I ordered a two pack of moisturizing bars that I threw out – the product does not smell the same, does not soap the same, and leeches green dye that does not wash out of washcloths. On December 2023 I tried again. I ordered another two bars, same result. This time, however, I reached out directly to woody’s customer service: customerservice@woodysgrooming.com. In a conversation, I showed them the same pictures I am posting here. They confirmed that there was a reformulation of product, “The Moisturizing bar was in fact reformulated to be more moisturizing. We’re sorry to hear you’re not happy with it. We will forward your feedback to our production team to review.”

    I am dropping this review as a warning for folks who were used to the product prior to re-formulation. It’s not the same thing you’re used to. I am also posting it as a small call to action to others who have loved these products – send your feedback to Woody’s about this change! Tell them loyal customers really don’t like it and to please, please, go back to the formulation that made this product a success.

    Woody’s – please go back to the old formula. The new one just isn’t working.

    Used for several years and was awesome soap, but they changed something, now it doesn’t smell as good and turns the shower green. Won’t buy again.

    Really great smell. You have to work to get the lather for hair. Might be an issue for long hair. Not too bad if your hair is short (or thinning)!

    I just spent 30 days abroad with this bar of soap as my sole body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. It worked extremely well and I felt clean and smelling good. It is extremely useful for travel since it’s solid and a small size. Overall, it smells great, it works well for travel, and it lasts a long time. A very good purchase and great value.
