Lysine can help give the immune system a boost if you or someone in your household suffers from lip sores. These capsules are from a company that is well-established and seems to be a good company, but it seems all the quality control is in-house vs 3rd party, which is what I prefer to see.
The capsules come in a glass bottle which you can recycle when done vs plastic which may or may not get recycled (even if your local waste pickup says to put it in the recycle bin). The bottle is also packed fairly full, which I appreciate.
To get the full amount listed on the label, you need 4 capsules.

This is a powerful blend for lip health:
* Since I’ve been prone to lip sores/canker sores (some caused by bites), I was happy to try this supplement, as it includes a great blend of Vitamin C, Zinc, L-Lysine, Quercetin, BioPerine, and Organic rice concentrate.
* Being non-GMO, vegan, and free of gluten makes it suitable for a wide range of dietary preferences and restrictions.
* This comes in capsule form and has a recommended daily dosage of four capsules. I do wish the directions recommend the best times to take this, that is, how many and how often.
* I like my supplement bottles to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, third-party tested, and Made in USA, Canada, or Europe. The bottle does say this is non-GMO, but I did not see anything about certifications or testing. (Those criteria make me feel more confident about what I’m putting into my body.)
* The cost of $20 for 30 servings might stretch some budgets. (I would love to have the option of having this on Subscribe and Save.)

This product was great with such high quality ingredients. The label says to take 4 capsules but I only took 2 a day with dinner. I felt really good while taking this Lysine and I like that they are capsules instead of tablets. Felt like it worked for me, especially since I was exposed to quite a few sick people while taking this product and didn’t get sick myself. Easy to swallow.

Supplements help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food, and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.
This amber glass (nice) bottle comes about 85% full, which is not bad nowadays.
If used as directed it will last one month.
The “best if used by” date on mine is Nov 2025, so a little less than 1.5 years from now.
There is a very light scent and taste to the capsules which is not unpleasant, and they are easy to swallow with water.
I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says non-GMO. The product page says they hand-make their over 325 botanical supplements in Oregon from locally sourced ingredients. Their website says the facility is GMP-certified.
I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. The product page says they have been operating since 1989. Their phone number is on the bottle and their site. Their wisewomanherbals site is functional and quite informative.
I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but I am impressed with the ingredients, and that they don’t use the fillers that many companies say they need to use, but the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements I know about refuse to.
