This is a powerful herb and works very well. I took it for a few weeks to cool down my body that seemed to always be on fire; I was sweating like crazy morning and night due to menopause. This herb stopped the heat and the sweat in its tracks and I could sleep and not be miserable anymore. Only problem is it caused my blood pressure to rise because it also causes you to retain water. I could keep a good balance if I also added an herbal diuretic but could not get used to the headache of my blood pressure rising and falling, so I stopped taking it. If you use it for short periods of time then the blood pressure thing might not be a big problem, unfortunately it works so well that I wanted to take it all the time. It really does deserve five stars because everyone knows it causes the BP to rise, not the herb’s fault but it does happen, and I’m too disappointed about having to stop to give it five stars. I’m now sweating like a pig again. Sigh.

My Naturopath recommended Wise Woman Herbals Licorice Extract for adrenal fatigue. I found it to be very helpful, and seemed more supportive than a variety of adrenal capsules and tablets I had been using at the time. I now keep this Licorice Extract in my herbal pantry, because it combines well with Chinese Tonic Herbs I use for health and longevity. I blend them together in almond milk for a tonic herb drink. The Licorice flavor is very pleasing, and enhances the function of the other herbs. Good product!

I’m not an ND but have been studying and using herbal products to maintain the health of myself and my family for the past 22 years. This is by far the best quality licorice root I have used. I’ve been using this product as an antiviral and anti-androgen for the past 6 months. I take 1/2 teaspoon once a day (morning), and it works great. No need to take dangerous pharmaceuticals.

I was a little concerned what was in the bottle because they’re actually was no dropper . I think that’s what started my concern.

I am hoping this product will help with CFS, caused by EBV. It tastes good , so is easy to take. I also have used it for protection from Covid-19. None of these effects are scientifically proven as far as I know, but I trust that its at the very least a good supplement for overall health. For me it is a bit pricey, but I feel Wise Woman Herbals is a reputable company and it’s a quality product.

I used to take now licorice for my adrenal fatigue. I ran out but forgot to re order it and noticed i was feeling horrible. I was about ready to order the now brand and I came across this brand. I gave it a shot and I am glad i did. I really notice a difference in my energy and mental fogginess when i take this product. the only downside is it is hard to dispense every day. I get a dropper bottle and pour it into the dropper bottle and then take 1 dropper per day. 1 dropper = 1/8th tsp per serving size. This saves me a lot of time when trying to take this product in the morning.
