Bought this stuff to combat extremely dry face skin. I have super sensitive skin on my face and this did not make me break out. Used in combination with the same night cream, it did pretty well as a face moisturizer, but when winter came, I was still dry. Went to the Weleda Almond products and have stuck with those ever since. But, I am so glad I found the Weleda products. They are mild on sensitive skin and if you can find the right combination, they are wonderful! It has a “health food store” scent to it that is not overwhelming and is really pleasant!!!

I’ve been using this face lotion exclusively for over a year now. From the get go I was blown away by how light AND moisturizing it is! This face cream feels light and clean. A little goes a long way. And it is super effective. This might be the first cream of my life that I don’t feel contributes to more inflammation on my skin… rather, it’s soothing and nourishing. I highly recommend this product!

It’s a great product. I don’t like the cream version due to the coconut ingredient. My face doesn’t do well with coconut. Unfortunately, there is no happy in-between; the lotion requires multiple applications to moisture well. One the plus, the formulation doesn’t overwhelm my pores, it does not cause acne, nor do i look greasy. It smells great and it never aggrevates my skin. It’s a pure product too. But I find that due to the multiple applications the product should be more generous, especially given the cost. Additionally, while aluminum might be safer than plastic in terms of chemistry, once the foil is folded it is rather sharp. Additionally, you can’t get all of the product out (even when squeezed appropriately). If you cut it open with scissors you will discover you are wasting several applications on your recycling bin. Cutting it open to make use of this otherwise costly waste can send you to the ER. Please consider changing your packaging. So far I’m at your mercy as the product is decent and much cheaper than the amazing but cruelly expensive aesop, suki and Haushka products. I’ve been using this formula for years. Maybe adding some haluronic acid could improve the moisturizing properties?

La compro para mis hijas adolescentes, una con acné y otra con piel atópica. Les gusta a ambas. Les hidrata sin producir reactividad en la piel.

I have normal/combo skin and run more on the dry side. Age: In my 30’s. I live in very sunny state and make it up to the cold North here and there. The Iris lotion light and moisturising, doesn’t leave any residue, isn’t tacky, and absorbs quickly. Almond and Rose are nice also. Skin Food was too rich for my skin type though I prefer lotions over creams. I didn’t like it for my hands or my face. The Rose and Almond lotions are creamier than the Iris and better choice (for me) in winter. The Iris fragrance is much lighter than the others which I prefer though, none of these above mentioned are overpowering.
I use about a pea-size am/pm and the tube will last anywhere from 2 to 3 months. For what you pay, 30ml doesn’t seem like a lot. Note: the lotions range in price by ingredient, Iris being on the lower price range. That being said, I used to pay a lot more for dept luxury brands. These products were often heavily fragranced, have pretty packaging and required other products or steps. It’s not drugstore so this falls in the middle for me. Weighing out cons of costs and pros of product effectiveness and company social responsibility, I think their prices are quite reasonable.
Overall, I feel good using Weleda. Just a note of caution, look at the expiry date. It’s a good sign that these products will go bad but make sure you get one that’ll last you for the time you’re using it. The Iris lotion is not avail at retail stores where I live and I rarely see it stocked at other places. Not sure why that is but the Iris Hydrating Lotion is a winner for me.

I live in Houston and I have combination skin that is pretty sensitive. If my moisturizer is too greasy (for me, anything from Kiehl’s) I break out. It also gets dry here in the winter and my skin gets thirsty. I don’t want to use moisturizer that is too expensive or has a bunch of chemical garbage ingredients. For me I don’t care that every single ingredient is organic but I just want it to be better in general, for something that is soaking into the skin on my face.
I like the iris smell and this moisturizer is doing awesome. I use this once in the morning and once at night and it’s great. Yeah, Weleda!

Light, very nice smell (might be too strong for someoned), absorbes easily and does hydrate. It won’t help with discoloration, acne or wrinkles. But it’s a nice basic maintaining lotion. Moreover I really like the brand. Their almond series is also very nice.

I was excited to find this product at a good price from this seller however realized why it was such a good price! All 4 tubes of this hydrating lotion were expired by 2 years. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. What a scam.
