If readers of this review go to the Internet to do some homework about supplements, they will find that omega 3 fish oil is one of the most recommended of all the supplements we can take to improve our health and well-being. Web MD says that Omega 3 fish oil supplements: 1. Lower blood pressure, 2. Reduce triglycerides, 3. Slow the development of plaque in the arteries, 4. Reduce the chance of abnormal heart rhythm, 5. reduce the likelihood of heart attack and stroke.

It makes sense to get our omega 3 fish oil directly from wild caught sardines, salmon, or anchovies, but most of us aren’t going to eat these fish as part of our regular daily diet. That’s where the Webber Naturals Crystal Omega-3 with Vitamin D3 comes in. It is easy to take a teaspoon full of this fish oil daily, which I have just done. How does it taste? My bottle was grapefruit flavored and the fish oil had a light and pleasant grapefruit taste which lingers on the tongue and in the mouth for several minutes after swallowing the oil.

I went to the Internet to find out more about Webber Naturals and I was impressed with their site. Here is what they have to say about their products: “Webber quality doesn’t just happen. We have 50 full-time scientists, doctors, nutritionists, dietitians and herbalists who know nature’s medicines. They create our products and formulas to get the most from quality raw materials.” My guess is that some of my readers are saying: “What do you expect them to say about their products?” I agree, but their site was impressive. Look for yourself, readers.

The directions on the 6.67 fluid ounce bottle say to take one teaspoon of the oil daily. My bottle is refrigerated and kept out of the light, as is recommended. In addition to the fish oil, each teaspoon contains 1000 IU of vitamin D3 in every dose (5 ml). Perhaps in the summer most of us don’t need the extra vitamin D if we are out in the sunshine, but certainly in the winter this Vitamin D would be a most helpful extra to have with our fish oil. Like the fish oil, Vitamin D is essential to our health and well-being.

For those of my readers that want to take omega 3 fish oil, but who would prefer to avoid the large capsules this oil generally comes in, the Webber Naturals is a useful alternative – no fish taste, a light grapefruit flavor, and easy to store and use. Recommended.

I usually don’t consider fish oil yummy due to the fishy taste but this one is surprisingly delicious. It have a real lemony taste to it, not the artificial kind that is made from citric acid. I also like that this fish oil doesn’t make me burp. The consistency of the fish oil is thin and it goes down nice and easy. The dosage is 1 teaspoon per day, which provides 750mg of EPA and 500mg of DHA – a healthy dose of Omega-3’s in the natural triglyceride form.

This fish oil is made from anchovy, sardine and/or mackerel. The other ingredients are natural lemon flavors (lemon meringue, lemon oil), natural vitamin E and monk fruit extract. It is free of artificial colors, preservatives or sweeteners; no dairy, starch, sugars, wheat, gluten, yeast, corn, egg, shellfish, salt, tree nuts or GMOs. For those who are concerned about the source of the product, it is made in Canada from IVO certified Omega-3’s.

Omega-3’s have been proven to have positive effects on cardiovascular and cognitive health. I have used many fish oil products in both liquid and capsule forms, but none so far is as delicious as this one. Overall, excellent product, excellent taste.

I was skeptical when I saw “Absolutely Delicious Flavor” on a bottle of fish oil. It’s described as “Crystal Clean from the sea” but bottom line, it’s fish oil, formulated from a combination of anchovies, sardines, and mackerel. How one turns anchovies into lemon cake is beyond me. And although it’s not bad, it’s not exactly good, and certainly no substitute for a bakery treat. I had the grapefruit flavor — and it was indeed, very grapefruity, with a light, authentic grapefruit taste and a strong grapefruit aroma, not unlike an essential oil. But the smell and grapefruity zing didn’t make it particularly palatable — i’t was like drinking canola oil, tinged with grapefruit. It didn’t have any of the unpleasantness I associate with fish oil — the fishy taste and worse, the fish aftertaste, nor did I suffer from post-ingestion fishy burps — but still, it’s oil. It did leave a grapefruit aftertaste, which was not at all unpleasant.
This would be a great alternative if you simply cannot tolerate getting your Omega-3s through diet or capsules. I have to admit, the capsules can be a challenge. But I’ve taken them for years now, and I’ve gotten used to them. there are plenty of formulas out there, and you should be able to find one that doesn’t leave a fishy aftertaste. If you can’t tolerate capsules, give this a try. It really is surprisingly non-fishy, and it doesn’t leave a fishy or oily aftertaste.

EDIT: I ended up throwing this out. I’ll stick with capsules. I just couldn’t bring myself to use this more.

Cannot take huge omega 3 horse pills. This was easy to swallow, and no offensive after taste.
