Each bottle contains a root beer extract which is cooked together with sugar and water on the stove to make root beer syrup. Stored in the fridge the syrup is added to water to make colourless root beer. The flavour and smell are both lovely and the whole family enjoyed this homemade root beer using the home soda pop maker, but you could add it to unflavoured gelatin to make root beer Jello too. Regular root beer typically contains caramel colour (derived from corn), however, this root beer does not contain any colours and is clear as water. It was a high quality, good value, and we will make many bottles of root beer from the 2 batches of syrup each bottle makes.

The best vanilla used for baking. Smells & tastes delicious in all recipes. Super easy to use and bottle does not leak. Will reorder when we run out.

Lol, they want us to use taste, ease of use, leakage, color and smell as ideas for drafting a review. Well, when I use vanilla it isixed into other things, so, it does enrich my oatmeal, baked goods and such (tastes and smells good). It pours nicely from the bottle, which when sealed and stored properly, does not leak. As for color, it looks like the vanilla I have used for years. Seriously, it is a decent product that does what vanilla is intended to do – enhance the flavor of the foods it iscombined with.

Watkins extracts are bold and flavorful. I also purchased the vanilla flavor. I add these delicious flavors to my coffee in the morning, which really elevates my coffee! Watkins extracts are versatile and can be used in baking, syrups, frosting, and more. They have a variety of flavors to try, and they are definitely worth the price.

Used this in making a Carnivore Cheesecake for Christmas. Came out great. All you can taste is the Vanilla. I don’t miss the alcohol at all. Thanks Watkins, you have a great product I’m sure I’ll be buying again – soon!

Highly recommend the Watkins brand for extracts. You can use a little or a lot. The flavors are long lasting! Smells amazing!

Bought this to make lemon loaf for a bake sale. I didn’t have any lemon zest so I just left it out. The lemon loaf was phenomenal and so lemony. Made the whole house smell amazing. Great price compared to the grocery store.
