I have a severe allergy I received from a tick. I cannot have anything derived from mammals or carageenan. So many vegan vitamins have that red seaweed carageenan. Non-vegan vitamins have magnesium stearate which is derived from animals….I was so excited to find these. I have been taking Lysine for years to ward off fever blisters. I am glad I can still take it!

Lysine Extra has changed my life. I have HSV-1 both orally and genitally and was having outbreaks every single day for a year. My gynecologist recommended this and I started taking this twice a day along with 1-1.5 grams of Valacyclovir. It has allowed me to live a normal life. With regular l-lysine, if I didn’t take it within 26 hours of my last dose, I would have a terrible outbreak. Now, I can accidentally miss a dose and it’s not the end of the world. I love Vitanica brand products, but this Lysine Extra is amazing! I’ve been taking it for about 3 months now, and have no complaints other than I wish the bottle came in a larger size (like 120 caps). The ingredients are great, very pure, and I definitely notice it making a different with my energy levels and immune system health.
