It really worked! It totally solved my problem. Try this if you have diarrhea. But this was so amazing you need to read my story. For 2 months I had been suffering from diarrhea. A copule of hours or little more after I ate, straight to the bathroom! I was diagnosed Irritable Bowel Syndrome – D. All kinds of laboratory tests were performed and everything was OK. During this time I went twice to my primary doctor, to another doctor in a city where I was visiting my daughter and to a psychologist because they said my IBS symptoms were due to stress. I was prescribed Librax to relax the nerves of my digestive system. (I hate and try to avoid taking this kind of drugs). I only ate sweet potatoes, rice, chicken breast or lean fish. Nothing helped. My diarrhea continued with more or less frequency.. So I called my primary doctor’s office to find out what to do next since nothing was working. The nurse asked him and he told her, “Go to a gastroenterologist.There is nothing else I can do for her.·” I was really scared. Since the first appointment I could get was one month away, I had lost 15 pounds already and was feeling weak and lethargic, I decided to do some research in the Internet to try to find some help. I read in medical website that sometimes diarrhea is caused by a lack of pancreatic enzymes because, with time, the pancreas stops producing them or does not produce enough to do their job digesting proteins, carbohydrates and fats, so the food passes too fast through the digestive system and the result is diarrhea and not absorbing the nutrients in the food. So I went to the drugstore to buy an enzyme supplement, but they would not sell them without a prescription. Back to the internet. When I searched for pancreatic enzymes VITAL Nutrients Pancreatic Enzymes Supplement turned up together with other brands. I chose it because it just contained what I needed, the enzymes, with no other ingredients added that I might be allergic to. Also the price was right. Well, I can tell you I HIT THE JACKPOT. In one day my condition improved by less frequent movements and continued to improve every day after that until in less than a week I was back to normal again. I am still taking them. I am feeling strong and full of energy, capable of dealing with my 4 and 6 year old great grandkids. I am on vacation now, but soon as I return home I am going to a new primary doctor (I fired my old one) and tell her the whole story. I will keep you posted as to what she says.

They helped with breaking down fats and carbs, However they smell bad. Makes Urine smell bad. switching to another generic called Kreon. How they won’t make a smelling urine.

Since starting to use Vital Nutrients Pancreatic Enzymes, I’ve seen a big difference in my digestion and much more normal stools. (Taking these because of chronic diarrhea and malabsorption–“leaky gut” no doubt.) I’m also taking Betaine HCl caps by the way, since I failed the baking soda stomach acid test 4 days in a row. But the betaine alone was not doing it; I was taking another product (Now Super Enzymes) and it was only helping a little bit. What I realized is that the “super enzymes” was very complete, but ultimately *too weak.* Super Enzymes has a little bit of everything, the pancreatic enzymes, some papain, some bromelain, pepsin, a little betaine, some ox bile–and that is what had appealed to me originally. But the operative term here is “a little bit.” And that might be perfect for someone who needs a little digestive support, a broad spectrum tablet (so to speak) to give a little assist. But I was taking 4 or 5 of those with a meal, plus separate Betaine HCl caps, and … still suffering. What I realized is that I needed much higher concentrations of the enzymes. So that’s when I tried Vital Nutrients; and I added a separate lactase enzyme, and I figured I’d find bromelain and papain separately if I need those too. In any case, situation is much improved as soon as I started taking this product. I only have to take ONE cap per meal, and I’ve backed down some on the number of Betaine HCl caps. (I was taking more and more betaine b/c the enzymes weren’t strong enough…) Anyway I hope this helps other people who believe they need help with digestion and are researching the options.

Quick update — I posted in early June that I needed these much stronger pancreatic enzymes (as described above) and that is totally true. But I wanted to mention that now my BMs are normal (!! yay) and I have been able to not only reduce the number Betaine Hcl capsules, but also somtimes use the “full spectrum” Now Super Enzymes with smaller or less animal-protein heavy meals. I still use the Vital Nutrients Pancreatic Enzymes for heavier, meatier dinners. Which I think means these products are working out great for me!

So far so good. My thinking is clearing up and I can speak again so the enzymes are working.

I’m not sure what is up with the smell and taste of these pills but they are truly awful. They are large horse pills and just the smell alone will make you gag. But I find they help a little bit. My doctor needed to put me on Zenpep or Creon but insurance doesn’t cover it and its $$$ money. These pills are the strongest pancreas digestive enzymes I could find. So hopefully they’ll help me. So far I see moderate improvement. They are kind of pricey too.
