This syrup tastes pretty good, with the tartness of the elderberries soften with the addition of honey. I think that if you are a fan of berries in general, you’ll probably enjoy the natural flavor of the extract. I like the fact that the list of ingredients is short, with only the essentials included. There is an organic certification for those who care for such things, but it’s only worth the value of the label it’s printed on—meaning not that much. I picked this item because other products by Vimergy claim to be made in the USA, and I was hopeful that this one was as well even though the listing didn’t specify a country. Unfortunately, the label does not provide a country of origin for the product, which is extremely disappointing. When factoring in the cost of this syrup, not listing the country of origin is unacceptable. This elderberry syrup, of unknown origin, costs $11/ounce, meaning each adult dose (1 tablespoon) costs $5.50!!! I did a quick search on Amazon and one of the top-rated elderberry syrups on Amazon is made in the USA, also certified organic, and only costs $1.00/ounce. Granted, this syrup appears to be about 5 times as concentrated as the top seller, but I still don’t see why it costs 10 times as much, especially when it’s not clear where it was manufactured.
Overall, I cannot recommend taking a supplement that does not disclose where the product is manufactured, and I also question the value of a syrup that appears to cost significantly more than comparable products.

This is a pleasant tasting supplement. Easy to take/digest. Great for having on hand when winter’s colds or other maladies try to take hold in your system. It seems to work to nip these type of ailments in the bud.

I’m a huge fan of elderberry for its health properties and was excited to see this product pairs it with raw honey, another great ‘helper’ when it comes to boosting your immunity and finding some relief when you feel an illness coming on. This a viscous syrup with a strong taste, mostly elderberry, kind of a tangy berry taste with some sweetness from the honey. I don’t mind it at all. I’m excited to see all 4 ingredients in this syrup are organic and that this syrup is very potent due to the elderberry content. A must have for my household as we prefer a more natural route to health and wellness when possible.

Very thick and sticky. Tastes great, like real elderberries so it is a little tart but the honey sweetens it up. Feels great on the throat.
