This oil is a very high quality and pure oil. It does not smell rancid or old and was sealed properly. I have really enjoyed using this oil and it is Good for internal as well as external use. A lot of other reviews have mentioned that there is not an adequate listing of how much thymoquinone is actually in here and that is true. It’s definitely a risky feeling trying to decide if it should be taken internally when that is unknown. It smells peppery and it’s great on the hair and skin. I like to use it as an aftershave balm to help soothe irritated skin. It’s definitely strong and a good pure oil.

I was dealing with an incredibly itchy scalp and had heard about a treatment using black seed oil and lemon juice, which is intended to make the pH of the scalp more acidic, mixed in equal parts. It actually worked really well. I was applying the treatment every other day for two and a half weeks. It definitely reinvigorates the hair after a shampoo, and I plan to use it occasionally as part of my hair care routine. It does have a potent aroma that takes some getting used to. This black seed oil is apparently food grade but I didn’t try consuming it.

I’ve been using Life and Pursuits’ products for a long time now and I just love them. As soon as they released Black Seed Oil, I bought it. I really like the natural, somewhat pungent smell of this oil and it points to the authenticity of the product. I’ve used it as a body oil and hair oil already and am also going to use it as a dietary supplement. I am in awe of how well this oil got absorbed in my skin and brought an instant shine. Even my hair is shinier and silkier after using black seed oil. The price is lesser than other brands and I’m overall very happy. It’s a 5 star for me.

I like this product because of how it treats my scalp and hair. There has been a reduction in dandruff. Therefor I am going to take this long term.
Please read below as far as my reasoning for trying alternative solutions. Always check with your primary care physician.
As, I age I feel more aches and pains that I hope this will alleviate or soften the effects of growing old. I also take prescription, traditional, prescribed medicine. I want to try some of these natural and other nontraditional methods. I was advised by the doctor not to mix the two. However, my plan is to give natural products a try. My method is to take tradition medicines on a twelve-hour basis. Then take natural medicine on the in-between 6 hours basis. I will need to get up during the night to take the natural medicines but I am awake periodically during the night.
These natural medicines are mostly unregulated. So, I look for supplements and vitamins that are GMP (General Manufacturing Procedure) accredited. I also check for third party testing. Additionally, I prefer supplements and vitamins made and manufactured in the USA, Canada and Europe.
I recommend to look for this statement or one like it in any product you select:

this oil has a very strong scent. honestly kind of smells like gasoline but im noticing thats just how its supposed to smell. its a good size and definitely worth the price. i would highly recommend

This black seed oil is lightweight with a faint herby oily scent. It comes out rich and thick in your hands, but once you rub it into your skin, it absorbs quickly, not leaving any oily residue at all.
I noticed on the label that the product is made in India, yet is only for sale outside of India. Not quite sure why that is.
The label specifically says it aids in a list of health areas including inflammation and better digestion, yet there is a caution box stating that the product hasn’t been evaluated by the FDA (supplements usually aren’t) and not intended to treat or prevent any disease. So I don’t understand why it would even mention that it aids in those things at the top of the label in larger print and then have the caution box further down in smaller print.
So I am confused and even though I like the scent and the feel of the product, I don’t know whether it would help me with anything, or if I would just be wasting money using it. I don’t feel it would be dangerous to use, so if you wanted to try it, I would say go for it.

Every other black seed oil I have seen has the Thymoquinone content printed on the bottle. Thymoquinone content varies from .7% to 5% in different brands that I have seen. This bottle says it has Thymoquinone, but not how much. There is no way to tell what the right dosage is. The product is not listed on the manufacturer website at the time of review.
