My kids are notoriously fickle about taking medicine when sick. This is one of the few flavors they will not give me grief over. It’s very hard to find in my area so I was relieved to see Amazon stocks it. The taste is almost like strawberry Kool-aid with a hint of cherry Halls cough drop aftertaste. Much more palatable than many others, and way better than the adult version too!

Since the regular product is not allowed for kids, this set can be an alternative. Make sure you read the label carefully and give it to your kid only if necessary.
The NyQuil Kids contains Chlorpheniramine maleate, which is an antihistamine that causes drowsiness, so it should be served at nighttime only.
Dextromethorphan Is a cough suppressant and is included in both the night and day version of the product.
There’s no acetaminophen because this product is not for flu, so it will not tackle a fever. The label states that it’s for cold, cough, mucus, and runny nose.
Again, make sure you know what you are buying and for which condition.

We tried the honey brand for my kids because it’s honey we thought it would be good but they absolutely hated it I tried it it was disgusting. So I decided to give this one a try and my kids are actually happy and they enjoy this one way more. They were very enthusiastic that they didn’t have to have the honey one anymore. So this will be the flavor of cold medicine that I’ll be getting from now on for them.
