The taste is similar to a watered down 5 hour energy drink. With that slight metallic taste.
On the plus side, the ingredients listed are much better then a lot of energy drinks.
The down side, all the extra added ingredients didn’t have much effect for me, and it just felt similar to other 150 mg caffeine drinks.
Your mileage may vary, but not for me.

If you like drinking overly sweet syrup this is for you. It is way over sweetened. Not worth your time or money to even try it. Plus this one is sweetened with the toxic sweetener sucralose… hopefully their other flavor sweetened with allulose is not this bad. Now I have to throw away 11 of these and burn my money.

I love the ingredients in this product as they seem to be much better for you than some of the other energy drinks out there with all kinds of chemicals. It seems to work just as well as a cup of coffee would. There is just enough caffeine in it to work. I also like that they come in little packets so you can take them on the go! Overall I like them. I’m not super impressed with the taste but they do work!

This definitely gives me the same boost as a reasonable cup of not insanely strong coffee would, but without any noticeable jitters or crash that I can detect. I would say it enhances my focus a bit, but in line with what the cup of coffee would, not anything different. It mixes well into pretty much whatever, including water, though the flavor is a little odd. Very artificially sweet but somehow you can still kind of taste mushroom through it. However, added to a little juice or something like that, it is not detectable, neither flavor nor any kind of graininess, etc. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a coffee alternative.

I use energy powder every day and wanted to try something new. Got the berry flavor of buffed and was somewhat underwhelmed.
It does have nice packaging and the single serving packets are convenient, but the flavor is a little below average and it doesn’t fully mix. I used 12oz of water and stirred for a total of about 45-60 seconds and there was still some sediment at the bottom. There’s a slight chemical taste similar to the five hour shots, but less pronounced. It doesn’t taste like natural berry, and I’ve had some excellent real tasting berry powders before so I know it’s possible.
Overall the effect was weaker than I’m used to but I sort of expected that considering I usually have 200mg of caffeine. I didn’t notice any benefit from the other supplements and mushrooms added to this stuff.
I will say I’m glad they don’t add a bunch of unnecessary artificial colors like many others. Considering the meh taste, meh effects, and incomplete mix, I’d rate it 3.5 stars if I could, but I’m rounding down because it’s also priced way high compared to other options. I get four times the bang for my buck with my normal powder and it also has 50mg more caffeine.

Per the instructions, I mixed one sachet of “buffed” with 10 oz of water (in between the 8-12 oz recommendations). The flavor was terrible and tastemasking was mediocre at best. One of the ingredients, bacopa monnieri extract (brahmi), is a botanical that has a bitter taste. In genereal, the ingredient list is quite vague — what exactly is “natural masking flavor”??
Other ingredients listed are also a bit questionable, including Cordyceps sinensis (caterpillar fungus) and Hericium erinaceus (Lion’s Mane). These are not necessary in my opinion.
