This is called a “velvety” scrub, and it’s well-named. It gave my skin a smooth and exfoliated look without having to overdo it. It’s a luxurious product that works quickly and rinses easily. Very good and recommended.

I love exfoliating scrubs. I think they help with combination skin, dry skin and helps keep blemishes at bay. I typically use this every other day to keep a fresh face. My teenage son also started using this.

Either I had a bad batch, wear too much makeup… dunno, but this did not remove my makeup. I applied, scrubbed it in and rinsed off and it took 3 times to get off my medium weight foundation (it’s long lasting, but still). That’s my #1 I want in a face scrub – remove the yuck. This did not deliver.
PRO: No issues with smell, it’s a nice texture, and it IS velvety – very soft for an exfoliator.
CON: It just didn’t clean my face. Had to scrub twice and use a rag to finally get make-up off (and I’m just talking foundation here.. that’s the whole reason for the wash)
Verdict: do not recommend

I really like this scrub, much gentler than other scrubs that feel like sandpaper. I use it on my face and décolletage and it isn’t drying or gritty. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and moisturized after a warm shower. It is hypoallergenic and vegan, which I love. The price is very reasonable, too. I was a fan of Novexpert before trying this and definitely recommend trying their products out, they are a great company with great ingredients!

I ordered this hoping to incorporate it into my skincare routine and so far it does the job.
I love that the texture is creamy and that a little bit truly does go a long way (a pea sized amount tends to cover the entire surface of my face fairly well.) and it rinses off really nicely and doesn’t leave my face feeling oily or overly overly dry, which is a definite bonus because some exfoliating creams and scrubs can strip the skin of its natural good oils, and overall I really have noticed a difference in my skin’s texture and appearance.
I wish the tube had a little bit more product in it, but for the price? It’s fairly nice.

A really subtle exfoliation technique that I’d recommend to anyone looking for something that gets the job done while not being too hard on your skin at the same time.

This creamy yet granular exfoliant is excellent. I normally stick with cellulose exfoliants because my skin is sensitive, prone to redness and dryness, but this works beautifully on my skin and I love it! Somehow this magically seems to lift or dissolve all the dead and dry skin off my face, which is an issue for me, especially around my nose, mouth, and chin. It does not hurt or feel abrasive, yet it is using a grainy manual exfoliation to do the job.
Since I began using this about 2 weeks ago my skin appears firmer and brighter. I can only assume that it is the magnesium in the formula that is helping so much. I’ve long used magnesium to help me fall asleep, recover from strenuous workouts, and improve my digestion. It’s really a wonderful mineral that most of us are lacking, as we typically aren’t getting enough of it from our modern diet. I had never heard of it being used topically on the face for any reason, but it stands to reason that it would be equally helpful there as well.
I am 100% pleased and actually quite impressed with this product. I would absolutely order this again for myself and would confidently recommend it to other shoppers.

This Novexpert Velvety Scrub Hydro-Biotic Cream really is velvety smooth!! I am impressed with how gentle it is on my face. I have been using a scrub with lots of granules in it to really scrub my face. This product is just the opposite of it. It is so smooth!! I do wonder if it will actually cleanse my face as well as it should as I’m just used to more texture in the cream. Well, I’m enjoying using it and my face feels great so I think it is fine. I’m happy with it so I do recommend it if you can afford it at $16 for two ounces.

This definitely lives up to the name “velvety scrub”. The product has a thick, velvety, cream-like consistency with a little bit of texture in it for exfoliation. It was easy to massage into my face and didn’t irritate it at all – it would be great for somebody with very sensitive skin. The scrub doesn’t really lather and it was easy to rinse off. There’s not much of a noticeable scent, and certainly none lingered after rinsing the product off.
The instructions recommend use 1-2 times per week. I think it’s gentle enough that I could personally use it more frequently, but if you have sensitive skin, sticking to the recommendation is probably a good idea.
