My husband takes these and recommended them to me because I recently got a cold sore and he didn’t. He got me my own bottle. These tastes citrusy (orange flavored – weirdly not printed in front of the bottle) and is easy to eat, like candy. I am taking it now for cold sore prevention mostly, but my quick search online says it has other benefits too. I didn’t see any dosage recommendations online, only that you shouldn’t take more than 3g day. This being 800mg per gummy is safely under that. I did see another site says you need at least 1000mg for it to be effective, so this one is short of that, but has vitamin C to compensate. This is more expensive though than some others on the market so giving it 4 stars.

This product came with the cap shrink wrapped and a cap seal to give you a comfortable tamper proofed product. I am a vegetarian, so I struggle just a bit to get lysine in my diet. I started taking lysine several years back when someone told me the benefits for cold sore suppression. I’ve been taking anywhere between 500mg and 1000mg ever since and cold sores are nearly a thing of the past. This lysine supplement is delivered in a single gummy dose and they are delicious. The bonus is that they also have 175mg of vitamin C as a bonus. You can also feel good knowing that there is no added sugars. I certainly recommend these gummies if your looking for an easy way to get more lysine in your diet.

I’ve been taking Lysine off and on for years whenever I start to feel a cold sore coming on, so that the sore either goes away or is minor in its development.
In the meantime, I’ve become a real fan of taking gummies instead of large capsules or tablets. They are easier to take, don’t get stuck in my throat, and I can reduce the serving size by just taking half a gummy if I want. These are huge benefits especially as I get older.
I decided to go online to research the other possible benefits of lysine when I placed this order. Wow. I had no idea, but you might want to check it out. From wound healing to osteoporosis to muscle mass to pain management, the possibilities are impressive. Who knew? 🙂
One gummy equals 800mg. My previous tablets were 500mg, and I took 3 or 4 daily for a week when I needed to thwart the possible cold sore. With all the other possible benefits, I may just start taking these once a day regularly.
60 gummies in this container, enough for a 2 month supply (or 4 months if you take half a gummy per day).

These gummies come properly sealed in a plastic jar. Dosage is one gummy a day, 800 mg of L-lysine and 175 mg of Vitamin C. They are tasty and easy to chew and I’ve had no issues with ingesting them.
However, while these are distributed by Vaite, there is no indication on this page or on the bottle where they are made, if they are made in a GMP facility or if they are tested for purity. This makes them questionable for me. There is a manufacturing date of 12/10/24 on the bottle which is next week so now I have no confidence in these.
