Don’t let your first smoothie make your decision for you. This powder mixes smoothly, has great ingredients and pleasant taste. It was pretty boring when I first tasted it, but it grew on me. I had been using another, more expensive, popular meal powder and this protein blend is different. Adding chunks of frozen banana or other fruit in the blender will make it great!

I’ve written a rave review on this product upon my first experience, but can’t seem to get Amazon to understand that something needs to change with a NON-Returnable food product. I hate giving the product 1 star, but awareness and change needs to start somewhere. My last two orders were absolutely unusable and to fix this, UpNourish needs to change their packaging and- or Amazon needs to deliver differently. *Why would a food be delivered on a porch with no other packing. I get it’s good for the environment, but not even a plastic wrap or envelope? There was a hole in the bag (too thin and usual faulty zipper opening) and my bag was full of ants. Amazon sent a one-time replacement and it was a busted and unusable item yet AGAIN. If I am only offered one time fixes and receive two unusable in a row, I can no longer order without feeling like it’s a major risk of paying for something I can’t use. Please address this!

I was drinking Kachava but it’s so expensive I decided to try this. It has a good amount of protein (21 g) and the taste is pretty good. It does kinda have that protein powder taste and a slight aftertaste (the same you get with protein powder). But, the price is so reasonable and it’s much better than a few others I’ve tried. To make, I use a little crushed ice, 1 1/2 cups of water and with 2 scoops of power then blend. Its easy to drink and very filling. I will definitely buying again!

Update 02/19/23: I got a blender! Maybe not the best one but it’ll do. I put in two servings, 16oz of almond milk, 8 pieces of frozen bananas, and 8 ice cubes. Still watery, cardboardy, hints of banana (not a fan of banana but wasn’t sure what other frozen item to put in), and not just grainy from the powder but the tiny, tiny ice grains as well. Trying again tonight with one serving, 8oz of milk, more ice, but probably the same amount of bananas. Also switched to vanilla cookie for next order and playing around with other frozen ingredients to add.
Update 02/14/23: My taste has returned! Unfortunately. This is very cardboard with a tiny hint of chocolate peanut butter even though it’s supposed to only be peanut butter? I did two servings with 16oz of water in a blender bottle, very grainy and very little flavor outside the cardboard. Today I did 2 servings with 16oz of almond milk in a blender bottle, stilly grainy but thicker and the milk lessened the cardboard. It’ll definitely make for a good milkshake once I can afford an actual blender. I think I’ll use frozen bananas in it and check it out.
Original: Our association started out poorly. I set it on the counter and shook it and patted it down to get all the powder in the bottom. However, once opened, powder went everywhere. The scoop was also at the very bottom under all the powder. I know there’s not much someone can do about that one. Once I got my two scoops out (which this stuff is incredibly clingy so you’re losing powder all over the place) and went to close the bag since it’s “resealable” I was unable to reseal it because of all the powder caked into the zipper portion. Guess I’ll wrap it in cling wrap because I don’t have any plastic bags big enough for it and will have to go to the store to get it its own storage container tomorrow.
Texture! I used a blender bottle and this will be a great shake when I have an actual blender and ice cubes to turn into a milkshake. I shook my blender bottle vigorously until I could no longer see clumps. However, the texture was still very grainy. So far, I have only tried this with water because I am out of milk until I go to the store tomorrow.
Now about that taste! Tastes good so far but I’m still recovering from a sever head cold and only have 20% of my taste buds left.
One serving is two scoops + 8oz of liquid and that’s a full meal? Thank goodness I have no appetite thanks to this head cold and have switched to these types of things to get nutrition and to make my stomach shut up. Hopefully once my appetite comes back I can continue to successfully enjoy and use this as my breakfast replacement. We’ll see. The whole powder mess situation is very unfortunate and feels like it’s going to cause more waste, especially for the price.

I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this. I was actually putting it off because I was looking for a lower cost alternative to kachava and I was pleasantly surprised that I actually like the taste of this one more, and the numbers are more conducive to my low-carb lifestyle— Also the cost is far more reasonable.

the first time I tasted this shake I thought, the taste was not great. It wasn’t terrible, just not great. I put it in my cabinet and finished off my other chocolate meal shake powder first, which was much more chocolatey but more expensive and from a mlm company so I knew I wouldn’t be reordering. BUT I was in the process of restricting carbs, and I had been eating way too much sugar. Now, I’ve been drinking this as a meal replacement and the taste is much better, and the chocolate is coming through really nicely! I think once my tastebuds adjusted to less sugar (taste buds replace themselves every 7-10 days, and they adjust to whatever you eat) this shake tastes really good and I love it! It has everything I wanted in a shake, although I wish it were 2g net carbs. And maybe slightly higher in protein. That would be my ideal meal shake! I’m giving it 5 stars and will probably reorder! So if it doesn’t taste great the first time, give it another try, and after after 7-10 days it should actually taste pretty good!

Got peanut butter. I use a blender with milk or water or a little of both. Also add some herbal powders which do not affect taste. Sometimes I’ll add a banana or chocolate milk for a flavor boost.
I needed to be on a low fiber diet for a while and this is perfect. I get all my basic nutrients and proteins. I am very particular about clean ingredients and this works for me. It’s great after my gym workout or as a meal replacement.
