The label says this is ubiquinol (reduced CoQ10) but it looks like ubiquinone (oxidized CoQ10) to me. The pills are a compressed pellet of yellowish powder and the outside of the pill is a thin white coating. The powder inside appears to be fully oxidized already. If CoQ10 is not fully oxidized, then if you expose it to oxygen in the air, it darkens over the course of a couple days as it slowly oxidizes. I cut a pill open and waited over a week and it did not change color at all.
Reduced CoQ10 is normally sold as a gel capsule that contains the reduced CoQ10 mixed into food-grade oil. This sort of packaging serves both to protect the ubiquinol from oxygen and improve absorption since ubiquinol absorbs better when taken with fat.
I am not sure if this company intentionally lied to us on their packaging or if their pill design is simply insufficient to keep the oxygen out.

Hochwertige Qualität, nicht ganz billig. Ob mir der Inhalt der ersten Dose geholfen hat, kann ich nicht beurteilen. Ich habe nichts gemerkt. Bleibt die Frage, ob man überhaupt eine Verbesserung spüren könnte??

This supplement has helped me enormously in my recovery from ME. I was taking it at a much lower dose as recommended by a nutritionist but when I saw this product I thought I’d give it a go and I have to say that I noticed an immediate improvement in my recovery. I do also take statins and this supplement is also recommended for that. I’m kinda frightened to stop taking it as I don’t want a relapse but I guess that will be the definitive test.
