This product does absolutely nothing for cold symptoms. It’s just a waste of money. Does not help you breathe does not stop a runny nose. To be honest I don’t no what the hell it’s doing. It’s sure doesn’t help any.

Nothing I was using was helping with my cold symptoms, and my job is one that makes it very difficult to take a sick day (don’t they all), so by the time I tried Tylenol Cold and Flu Severe I was at a loss. This brand did do the job of taking care of my cold/flu symptoms. I wasn’t nearly as sniffly and the muscle aches all but disappeared.
However, I did develop a nasty case of nausea and dizziness. I also had a difficult time concentrating on anything. I spent more time in bed because of the side effects than I did for my cold.
I only took this for a little over 24 hours as the side effects (for me) just were not worth it.

This stuff has been an amazing part of my recovery.
They’re caplets, so it’s crazy easy to get down (unlike cough syrup, which is literally a struggle). They do taste kind of bad, but it’s absolutely nothing compared to cough medicine.
2 of the 4 active ingredients are exactly the same (and in the same amounts) as some non-drowsy cough medicine I had been taking. There’s also the added bonus of a nasal decongestant and a pain reliever/fever reducer.
Being shipped and sold directly from Amazon, the expiration date is very, very long into the future (the end of 2013). I decided to order some extra to keep around for the next time I get sick. This is my weapon of choice from now on.
In summary: Effective and easy to get down. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

This medicine works great but I had Insomnia the entire time I was on it. It was horrible. I’m someone that can easily fall asleep and I’ve never had sleep problems in the past. So, I had a feeling that my medicine had alot to do with it and I read that a side effect of Tylenol Cold and Flu is insomnia. As soon as I stopped taking it I was able to sleep again.
I know not everyone will experience sleep problems, but I think it’s important to warn everyone just in case.

When I get a cold or a flu I get congested real quick because I have asthma this was really helpful when you start getting sick but its not a one-stop solution if your sick I suggest you bite the bullet and your wallet especially if your an asthmatic like me and see a doctor so you can be prescribed antibiotics.
I used this until I finished it since its also a pain medication I will have to buy more for the future.

Since I am allergic to aspirin, I find that Tylenol does the job. I have used the regular Tylenol for years, and decided to add this one in case I need it in the winter

Pros: Works well, allows me to go to work when I’m sick (probably not good but sometimes necessary). Cons: pills are huge and really hard to swallow when my throat is swollen, tablets seem to be coated in some kind of artificial vanilla-scented plastic-y substrate.
