This was not my favorite. I just didn’t like the texture a ton when I was rubbing it in and it didn’t sink in quite as nicely as I preferred. Not a bad price, but for $13 there are drugstore cleansers that are half the price that I prefer. This has kojic acid as a hero ingredients which is very trendy these days!

I enjoy making my own whipped shea nut butter for hands and body moisturizing. I typically use a combo of shea, mango and carriers or shea, cocoa & carriers depending on the time of year. I have wanted to try a papaya mix as I’ve read it is super moisturizing. This body butter did not disappoint.
A little bit goes far with this super moisturizing mix. The butter takes a little time to absorb. All body butters that don’t contain any alcohol will absorb more slowly. I prefer slow to “moisturizing alcohols”.
The scent of the butter is mild and pleasant.
I did initially try the butter on my face and unfortunately, I ended up with a slight breakout after three days of use. I knew I was taking a risk, as shea butter typically causes breakouts on my nose. I did not develop any rashes or dermatitis and I have sensitive skin.
I have been using the butter on my hands twice a day and still get the benefits of soft skin that my homemade shea & mango offer in the dry desert winter. Important note, I use my normal homemade butter just twice a day and did not use any while testing this butter.
Dex –
I am always a fan of trying new things. This lotion is very moisturizing and the initial skin ‘brightening’ is a little over the top but fades and blends in shortly. Overall, I was happy with this item.

What I like:
My experience with this product has been very positive.
The product provides instant relief from dry skin and absorbs very rapidly, revealing a healthy glow. It’s not greasy whatsoever, and it seems to actually remove the dry, outer layer of spent skin cells as it’s applied.
The scent is quite powerful, but natural-smelling, with no artificial odor. While the scent is quite powerfully-sweet, I don’t mind it at all.
I received this product as very fresh and the whipped consistency is very stabilized, so it doesn’t require consumer remixing.
Applying this product regularly has helped me to heal an area of irritated skin and the healing effect has continued long after the routine application. Now I just use the product occasionally, as needed.
What I don’t like:
As I mentioned previously, the product has a unique characteristic of removing old skin to reveal a new layer with a healthy glow. However, as the product is applied, it does create a sort of “crumbling effect” as the old skin cells are removed; so much so, that during this process, the dead cells tend to accumulate and need brushed-off into the trash. It is what it is, and this bit of unappealing effect is something I can get past, as it’s worth it to have the refreshing feeling of the healthier layer being revealed.
I would definitely order this item again.

I was very excited to get this body butter, but I will be exchanging it. When I opened it up, there was no safety seal and there was a hair in the product. Blow up the second photo, you can clearly see the hair on the right.
