I thought this might be a nice sugar free alternative that might taste better than standard bitter cough syrups, but it actually tastes just about the same, just with a ‘Diet sweet’ rather than ‘sugar sweet’ added.
Huge advantage over regular cough syrups with the same active ingredients is that this is dye free (non-staining) and not quite as sticky when it dries. (And cost is better than name brands at the time of this review.)
If you are diabetic or calorie conscious, this is a good alternative to sugar sweetened cough syrups, but if you can swallow a pill I definitely recommend dextromethorphane HBr / guaifenesen in pill form instead so you can avoid the bitterness.

What you get – Sugar-Free Adult Cough & Cold Relief Syrup (1 bottle – 118ml)
Pros – this didn’t taste too bad and it definitely helped with the recent cough symptoms. As it only has the cough suppressant and the expectorant ingredients – nothing for congestion – it means that it is suitable for people with high blood pressure to take.
Cons – none
Overall – competitively priced with other brands and it definitely worked.

If you need a sugar free cough syrup and need to be cautious because of medication, this is a good one. You only need to take 10ml. as a dose. It has a light raspberry flavor-not bad. It is clear, no food coloring.
The price is good for a cough syrup that works.

it’s the same basic ingredients as your good ol’ cough syrup, but this one has no sugar. Why pay more for name brands?

I tried both the regular Tussin and the sugar free and although I’m happy they offer a sugar free version I have to say that it did not work half as well as the regular version. I don’t feel that it really suppressed my cough very much. Honestly, the regular version did not even spike my blood glucose so I will stick with the regular (not sugar free) one. I would not order this again but like I said, it’s nice to have the option and maybe it will work better for someone else.

I didn’t really notice a different taste than the normal cough & cold relief syrups. Went down easy in my opinion and it seems like a decent size if you are the only one using it. I recommend it.
