I love Truskin products, so I thought that I’d give the collagen supplements a try. It was a total failure for me. The overpowering smell is awful, and the taste is even worse. With a dry heave, I had to immediately spit out the very first pill that I put in my mouth. Unfortunately, I’ll be tossing the remaining 59 capsules.

I have heard that eggshell membrane is the only form of vegetarian collagen and I can’t believe I finally found it in a supplement!! I’m not sure how it works, but I guess it does according to the studies. The pills smell and taste good and my skin is already feeling smoother. I appreciate the peace of mind knowing I’m using a plant-based product.

I typically take my collagen in my morning coffee, but when traveling, its not the easiest to take a bag and scoop with me.
I got these pills to use as a replacement when I travel, but they’re so convenient, I’ve started using them at home too.

Maybe it hasn’t been long enough but I haven’t really noticed much changes to my skin or face. The product definitely has all the right ingredients but I have found the powder form seems to work a bit better and easier to remember. The value for these is fine but not much better than other brands. Might get another bottle just to test or to gift but personally night just stick to powder form.

These TruSkin Collagen capsules have given me a “glow” that I haven’t been aware of. My skin seems softer and my hair and nails have started to grow like wild weeds!
I have noticed the insane (daily suggested) amount of biotin, which is water soluble so it flushes out of the body easily through urine.
I’ve had to of my coworkers say that they noticed my skin smoother and “glowing”. I never get complimented on my skin so I’m thinking these capsules have something to do with it. I’ll continue to take these and order me another when I’m done with the bottle.
Cautionary Tales –
This is a bit of a megadose of Biotin. I do think Biotin has worked for me over the last two years with hair growth, and I know collagen has absolutely improved my nails. If I stop taking it for a week, my nails soften and break soon afterward and it takes a while to ramp back up to hard, durable nails. That’s a review of the ingredients themselves, not this suppplement. Since I’ve only been taking it a couple of weeks, I can’t say there’s any material difference between it and any of my other collagen and biotin supplements — only that in this one, they’re combined.
What makes this one distinctive is the amount of Biotin. The main thing you may want to know about Biotin is that if you take large amounts, you can get altered results from your bloodwork, particularly in your thyroid results. Many lab places will advertise that you should stop supplementation with this before doing bloodwork.

I have been taking these pills for awhile and I love the ingredients. It’s got a good mix of collagen, biotin and a superfood blend. It a good boost.

I have been trying this supplement for a couple weeks now and it seems to be effective. My nails and hair grow very quickly and my nails are prone to breaking because they have become thin as I have aged. Whenever they do break I have to cut that nail way back. It will grow to a decent extent in 2 or 3 days but it is an irritation nonetheless. If I continue with a collagen supplement this is less likely to occur and so far I feel that this product is doing the job for me. I have a 30 day supply with this order so I suppose time will tell. So far so good!
