you have to be consistent on how many times you put it on his finger. It tastes like bitter melons mixed with a terrible after taste of rotten herbs.

I bought this because I was trying to stop my 8yo from biting her nails. It’s a relatively new habit that I first tried to stop with fidget toys and saying to stop when I saw it…that didn’t work so I looked for this. The reviews seemed promising so I ordered it.
My daughter isn’t excessively sensitive, but when I put this on and she reached for her mouth…she cried. And not just a whine, my poor girl ran to her room, curled up in a ball and was SOBBING. My heart…there’s just no words. As a Mom, I’m filled with guilt – it was so heartbreaking to watch. 2 glasses of OJ later, my daughter was still so upset.
I never, ever meant to cause her harm…but if you would’ve witnessed the absolute sadness from her cry, you’d feel guilt, too. It was like trauma.
I’m full of remorse for buying this product. I wish I could rewind and never have put it on. I feel so, so guilty. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I’m going to put it on my finger tomorrow just so I know, firsthand, what I put her through.
Bottom line: don’t. Whatever your kid is going through, this product is NOT worth it. And I never leave reviews.

It taste awful and I would think does the job, however it doesn’t phase my kid. They make a gross face and power through it. Results may vary pending on how stubborn your child is.

This product works like a charm. It is easy to use, with the pen style. You simply just paint it on and let it do its job. We were trying to break our four year old from thumb sucking. We tried everything, but nothing worked. My sister told me about this product which cured her son’s thumb sucking.
Just note that you do have to paint it on several times. If they wash their hands the strong taste will lessen. But overall this has worked wonders for us.

I applied it on my two year old as soon as it arrived. We got it to help her stop sucking her thumb and biting her nails. She threw up instantly. Every time she puts her thumb in her mouth she gags and throws up. I’m hoping it works tho.

I accidentally got some on my finger and I must say this is the nasty stuff that has ever touched my mouth..I used it on my daughter finger because she sucks it and so far it has been keeping her finger out of her mouth lol

My toddler sucks her fingers until they turn wrinkly. Even thru the night. We tried aloe as a healthy version but that did not work, she actually like the flavor haha. My husband then found this and when she first used it she was like eww nasty a little cry here and there. I felt bad, it’s hard, parenting is hard but we held strong. Now, no suckking fingers at night and no fussing either! Soon as she taste it shes like blahhh and then takes hand out of mouth. We tasted it as well, because of course we want to know what we are giving our child. The taste is bad foreal, we were like ahhh as well.

I tasted the product because I’m not forcing my kid to taste something that I haven’t. Boy let me tell you, it’s awful. The tiniest lick was so pungent and chemical-like. My 3 yo watched me taste it so she knew the product wasn’t good. I talked to her about how yucky her thumbs were now. I haven’t seen her suck her thumbs all day. ALL day. I will say I think applying to the nail bed is enough. It’s that strong and that bad. If you’re concerned about hurting your kids feelings or something like that, simply prepare them for what’s to come. Explain the product and how awful it tastes. Maybe even let them watch you taste it. I assure you that your reaction is deterrent enough. 10/10 would buy again.

I put off buying this because I was skeptical. I needed to get my 4 yr old to stop sucking on her fingers. We tried castor oil, finger flicks, pulling fingers out of mouth, explaining why she needed to stop, bandaids, not letting her play with my hair (she loved running it through her fingers while she sucked on them), etc. Nothing worked. I had been looking at those finger guards but besides what I felt was too high a price on some of them, all the others she would be able to take off easily herself and I knew she would do just that. So, in the end I finally bought this stuff. Wow! We only used it 2, maybe 3, times. I haven’t seen her stick her fingers in her mouth in weeks! Watching TV and sleeping were her main weak areas. I have checked on her after falling asleep and no fingers! No fingers with TV! She used to love playing with my hair and sucking on her fingers and now when she sits by me she tells me she doesn’t want to play with my hair! Win!!! If you are on the fence about getting it thinking it may not work, I would go for it! For us it was amazing!!
