Idk why, or how, but this product has been by far one of the best purchases and finds via Amazon ever for me! Every month, my chin breaks out & I get self conscious about concealing the bumps when I go out in public; This concealer if you mix the colors (there aren’t many shades to choose from is my only complaint); For summer I chose darker shade; first I use a moisturizer & foundation primer, then I get a Q-tip & dab a little on my bumps or cold sore, & it soothes it if it’s irritated at all instantly, the consistency is amazing being that it glides on so smoothly &blends in with my foundation; throughout the day it does not cake up & dry out! Wonderful product and I am thankful for it’

I’ve been suffering from cold sores since childhood to the point where I’m on medication to control them. I always am looking for ways to cover or conceal an outbreak especially when I have something to do in public or even when I will just be around people. I was so optimistic that this product would be helpful based on the description and the price. Usually more expensive items seem to work better. Not this time. I honestly feel like this did little to nothing. You have to use a ton of it to feel and notice the coverage and then it looks caked on, discolored, and still draws attention. Covering it up with more makeup on top only added to the depth of the area. I tried reapplying several times just to see if I could get it to work, and it was a waste of time and energy. If you know the feeling of dealing with a nasty, long lasting cold sore, spare yourself any more frustration and don’t bother trying this product. As seen in other reviews, store bought makeup concealers would do the exact same thing. And if the cold sore is even partially on your lip (where majority of cold sores pop up) nothing will cover or hide it well enough because it will always be discolored from your lip shade. I was so sad and disappointed, so I hope this can help someone else avoid a waste of time and money.

I really appreciate that it has a shade for black people. It doesn’t exactly match my skin, but I use it as a concealer and then put my foundation on top of it. It really is full coverage and hid my sore. It couldn’t hide the texture or bump of course, but it made it look so much better as it was healing.

I have gotten cold sores for years and am always looking to try something new to help with them. I just got a cold sore recently and wanted to try Coverology. I typically use Compeed cold sore patches with makeup over top of them which does help conceal the cold sore but they aren’t completely invisible and they can fill up with liquid to making you need to reapply. This provides very similar coverage without seeing the shine from the plastic patch and lasting longer. You do still see the texture of your cold sore scab but with makeup over top it blends into my skin very well. I will say that the Compeed patches help with the pain though and help from feeling itchy. I didn’t notice any tingling from the medicine in Coverology. It does seem to stay on very well even overnight and in fact I needed a warm washcloth to get it off completely. It does however feel very dry as in if you move your mouth a certain depending on where you’re cold sore it might feel like your scab cracking. I probably wouldn’t wear it everyday over Compeed patches but for an event or something where you want to look your best I would say it is slightly better in terms of coverage and being longer lasting.

I love the consistency for this concealer as it’s a bit thicker and sticks well. It works really well and you can easily use it under make-up to hide those pesky cold sores.

I get cold sores under my nose and today i’m in the beginning stages which mean redness, swelling, and closed bumps. I’m glad I had ordered this on a whim a few months ago and had this on hand! For this stage of the colder the concealer does a great job! It has a bit of a waxy textures so it grips the skin better than an ordinary concealer and it doesn’t take much product to get good cover. I found that it soothes the itch and sensitivity and I like the soft scent of camphor.
I used it alone but the packaging indicates that this can by layered under your regular makeup. I personally didn’t find that necessary.
Note: if you blow your nose throughout the day you will need to reapply. Overall I really like the product and I’m glad I gave it a chance!

This is by far the best product on the market that I’ve tried!
I get fever blisters a couple times a year + they always make me uncomfortable to go out when it happens.
A friend recommended Coverology to me + I figured “why not give it a shot” + I’m so glad I did! It’s moisturizing + medicated so it helps as the fever blister “cracked” + whatnot during the healing process. Also liked the way the medication felt, it was cooling + made the fever blister not as irritating.
Application wise:
I put it underneath my face makeup + used my fingers to blend my makeup into it + the coverage was insane. It made me feel comfortable enough to go out without feeling like people were staring at the fever blister. Appearance wise, it melded in well with my skin, with or without makeup. Even on days when I was working from home I would use Coverology by itself to help with healing (and irritation) + the fear of being on camera with a thing on my face O_o
It is buildable coverage, so start with a little + add more if you need it – especially if you’re like me + don’t usually wear makeup.

10/10 recommend giving this a shot!
