I tried the ApothéKary Sugar Kick Tincture and I am so happy that I did! This tincture has an earthy, fruity taste with a little bit of sweetness and the instructions say to have a full dropper daily before meals either directly onto your tongue or mixed into a beverage, up to 4 times per day. I tried the product first without mixing it into a drink and it was strangely tasty. I chased it with water, but it didn’t leave much of an aftertaste for me. I feel like this product helped curb my appetite because I wasn’t hungry for my usual afternoon snacks after taking a dropper before my lunch.
I really appreciate that this product is made in the USA with plant based vegan ingredients and that the product is third party tested for quality and efficacy. And I loved that it helped me cut down on the snacking!
Overall, I would recommend this product as I do feel it helps support my digestion and my metabolism. Since the biggest issue I have with staying on track with a diet is mindlessly eating at my desk during my work day, I have been taking this supplement just before my lunch rather than before each meal. But when I do finally run out of the product, I’ll likely be buying more!

Sugar Kick Tincture impressed us with its plant-based formula, combining ingredients like hibiscus and apple cider vinegar for natural digestive and metabolic benefits. The refreshing blend is easy to incorporate into daily life, whether added to water or taken on its own. We loved its clean, vegan ingredients and third-party testing for quality assurance. A great addition to a wellness routine!

This tincture is easy to take compared to pills, plus the ingredients are natural and organic. I like how each ingredient is explained with its purpose and benefits, as most herbs it’s hard to tell what they do. The taste is somewhat strong with a tart and fruity taste.

In the carefully worded, lots of asterisks health claims section is an actual graph of a claim that this will reduce blood glucose spikes after just a couple uses. Well, as someone with a CGM, I was in a place to evaluate that statement. There was no noticeable change in the level of my spike after eating a known food and taking this product daily. It was, if any thing, good for maybe a point or two and definitely did not show a reduction of almost 20 points as in their listing.
Then there’s the product itself. States it is “30 doses”, lists the included herbals by a 20 drop measure, and comes with a non-calibrated glass dripper. So you need to patiently squeeze out 20 drops. Even then, the wording of “30 doses” has a connotation of “30 days”. Friends, a daily dose is 4 times what’s listed as a dose. The label says to take it “up to 4 times a day”. So that pricey bottle is a week’s worth of product. And you will note that it says you need to take this for at least a month to get the most effects. That’s almost $200 a month for an herbal tincture that at best reduced glucose levels by 3 points. I could do better by just not eating starchy, sugary foods.
So can I recommend this? Sure, if you like weak hibiscus tea. But then again, a bag of Sadaf dried hibiscus is 1/4 the price and will make GALLONS of much stronger and tastier hibiscus tea. So no, stay away. If you have a need to control sugar, please seek a medical professional.

The taste is something I can’t forget, like a mix of herbal and sweet that catches you off guard the first time but grows on me quickly. I started using it before meals, thinking it would just be another supplement sitting on my shelf, but I was wrong. Within a week, I noticed this lightness after eating, like I wasn’t weighed down or sluggish. It’s almost like my body was thanking me for giving it a little extra help. What’s funnier is that I started looking forward to using the dropper, it’s oddly satisfying to measure out the exact amount, like a small ritual that signals my day is on track. It’s hard to describe, but I just felt more in control, like my body and brain were finally on the same page about food and energy. The bottle is small but packs a punch, and it’s become one of those things I don’t want to forget when I leave the house. It’s not flashy or dramatic, but it’s quietly effective in a way that feels personal, almost like it was made for me.

While I wouldn’t say the taste is a refreshing beverage, it is reasonable. It has a slight vinegar/pickle taste which is not at all overpowering and does not leave an aftertaste for long. Maybe it will do some good, but only time will tell.

This is quite expensive for the amount you get, so I don’t know that it is something I would take long-term. The flavor is fairly palatable, and I say that as someone who is not a fan of vinegar or melons. There is a noticeable apple cider vinegar flavor, along with a certain sweetness and a certain apple pie spice taste. It’s not exactly a taste treat that I look forward to, but as a nutritional supplement, I have had worse. It is relatively easy to take before meals. I do not regularly check my blood sugar, but it is a concern of mine, generally, so I am hopeful that it will be helpful, but I don’t have the data to see one way or the other. I will continue to use it and hope that it helps, but I don’t think I will get more.
