At $1.66 a day, Alpha Neuroprotector is not an outrageous price compared to similar supplements. Keep in mind you must be committed to four pills daily. But let’s break down the gobble-de-gook to see what’s of potential benefit:
Glycerylphosphorylcholine is found naturally in the brain and has been studied for potential Alzheimer’s treatment. In Europe it is available by prescription and the benefit is to release a brain chemical known as acetycholine to help enhance memory function. Research has shown promise and it is generally considered safe. However, consult your physician before taking any supplement.
L-Carnitine is an amino acid that is widely used in supplements, most often for weight loss. However, research studies have shown average weight loss is just 2.9 lbs. while taking it.

I have been taking these pills, and I think they’re great.
But I also want to give you some insights in to the economies of scale of Nootropics.
I worked in a very competitive, high-pressure job with a company based in New York. Nootropics (or smart drugs) gave me an edge. Back then, it was not something you discussed with your colleagues. But now, it’s much more mainstream, due to the efforts of guys like Dave Asprey and a huge roster of others whose podcasts are wild available.
That having been said, I just want to give you some tips based on my experience.
I already currently take most of the core ingredients of this brew, i.e. ALCAR, Alpha GPC, R Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Ginkgo Biloba (24% Flavone Glycoside and 6% Terpene Lactone), and SerinAid Phosphatidylserine.
But here’s my point: If you really look at the core ingredients of Alpha, and then look at companies selling similar products, I think you can see how it is commonplace for companies to put bulk amounts of each ONE type of pill.
If you do your homework and do the math, you may also notice that you can get your nootropics cheaper this way.

I am intrigued by the subject of Nootropics and its claim to offer clearer and even enhanced thinking, so have experimented with several formulas. This one sells for 50 dollars and is said to last a month at the recommended 4 capsules per dose. Then I saw in the directions that it is recommended to take up to four times a day! Even just two doses a day reduces the supply to two weeks or a hundred dollars a month. Not unthinkable considering the cost of prescription drugs but still a large addition to the average person’s budget. I had a much more critical eye now. If it can be taken 4 times a day and your are awake maybe 14 hours, do the effects last only four hours? I took just one dose yesterday and it was the only supplement I took to make certain any effect could be attributed only to this one product. I’m certainly not a chemist but recognized most of the ingredients since I have taken several of them separately in the past and knew they all can have positive effects. I went about the course of that day and it dawned on me that I felt, different. So much so that it made me pause to reflect, as I’d forgotten I’d taken those capsules as I was busy in my activities. This might sound contrived, but my perception felt more tactile and intense. The effect of a supplement often is most dramatic if you have been deficient in a certain mineral or chemical in your diet. Perhaps that has been the case with me since I eat a very healthy diet but often do not eat enough each day. Whatever the explanation, it was a profound feeling of well being and connectedness. The only other profound difference I noticed with any supplement over the years was with Ashwaganda that has an incredible calming and evening effect and also Maca Root that seemed to give me an almost manic amount of energy during the day after i initially took it and noticed the effect during my work day. Perhaps I should have waited to post a review and seen if the results were replicated over a period of time and with different variables, And I will revisit this review. For now, I believe this is not an inexpensive item and will go on to take it, once in the morning and again in the afternoon to experiment. If that same intense feeling of connectedness and sharpened perception is replicated, I will indeed be a repeat user despite the expense for a single product. for now, I am extremely impressed and intrigued and anxious to continue and report back.
