It has a sweeter taste than what I was expecting. I guess that’s where the 2 grams of sugar come in. Overall, I liked it.

Ok so first, this is not th3 qctual amount of what comes in this thing. Most powders are typically full but this DOES NOT and it doesn’t last long. All that being said it’s amazing, it taste like rocky road ice cream and it’s results are pretty good. Why their daily greens has to taste so bad but this so amazing I do not understand. Even with the small amount that actually arrives, I’d still buy this again, I’ll never buy that daily greens thing they have, it tastes like grass and mint and the texture is chalky at best. Do not be confused by the two, this recovery is awesome

I like everything about Thorne RecoveryPro – Whey Protein Muscle Recovery Supplement, except for the price tag.
Unlike a lot of fitness-related supplements that taste artificial, this genuinely tastes like chocolate and maybe too delicious (I wished I could have another serving right away, it tastes like a dessert).
Thorne’s associations withe the Mayo Clinic and the Olympics gave me faith that I could trust their product. As I am in training for an event and constantly have various muscles in the recovery cycle, I wanted to give my body the magnesium and whey proteins. The amino acids and tryptophan were welcome also. I can’t say for sure, with just 12 servings, whether this does what it says it will in terms of recovery, performance, and sleep. But I’m happy to assume so based on the ingredient list and the company’s research and associations.
However, the product doesn’t say whether it’s to be used daily, weekly, or just after intense training. Most supplements are to be used daily, so I assumed the same of this one. Because of the hefty price, with only 12 servings per bottle, I would have to spend over a hundred dollars a month to have a serving every day. Because it’s 140 calories per serving and the scoop size is big, I decided to make this last twice as long by having half a serving per day. (That also halves the caloric intake.) If you train for a living, this is probably well worth the price tag. I’ll use it leading up to my event and then will probably not spend so much on a supplement for normal life.
But a really great product overall.

There’s a reason this supplement is not cheap. The taste is one of the best chocolate powders I’ve ever had. And I’m referring to all of the whey protein powders I’ve tried over the years. What I’ve noticed with this stuff is that it seems to intensify my prescription insomnia medication. The first day I tried this, I took it with my insomnia medication. Within 30 minutes, I started feeling incredibly woozy and it was intense. I went to bed very soon after this feeling and was out 15 minutes later. Slept great and lots of rim sleep on my tracking device. The next night I tried a half a serving and it did not have the same intensity. I then tried this by itself without taking prescription insomnia medication. I didn’t get as tired and drowsy from it by itself. I slept decently but not like the first night. I have insomnia really bad and this does help and intensify my prescription meds but by itself it is okay. I do know that this company makes top notch supplements as I’ve used a couple of other things made by thorne and had great results. So my results are a mixed bag? Sorry but I can’t be sure how it will work for you but that’s my experience.
