i really like thorne products and ingredients. i used this but the glutathione is reduced form. while i’m already paying for the price thorne brand is expensive compared to other brands the reduced form is not superior to pure therapro rx glutathione gold which uses s-acetyl glutathione which is a better form. so while i always highly recommend thorne products to be superior in this product they could improve the ingredient to match their price tag.

Zur Info: Jede Kapsel enthält nur 175mg Glutathione. Das ist hier nicht ersichtlich. Wer Preis / Inhalt mit anderen Anbietern vergleichen will, sollte das wissen.

To the people who don’t approve the oral consume. This is what I received from the Thorne research regarding my question, and my endocrinologist approved it. Great company, I will continue to use it:

hank you for writing in. The Glutathione-SR is reduced glutathione, not acetylated or liposomal. It is complexed with a high and low viscosity hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and MagnesiumCitrateLaurate, which is what makes the product time-released. Additionally, it will be protected by from the stomach acid and enzymes in the intestine, allowing for more optimal absorption.

    From our website:

A common mistaken belief is that glutathione is not well absorbed when it’s taken orally, but significant data confirms it is efficiently absorbed across the intestinal epithelium by a specific uptake system.*

Glutathione-SR represents a breakthrough in glutathione supplementation. Absorption of oral glutathione can be impacted by stomach acid or enzymes in the duodenum, which can break down glutathione into its amino acid components. However, the sustained-release form of Glutathione-SR protects it from stomach acid and digestive enzymes, allowing for slower release and a more steady level in the blood of this essential nutrient.*

I’ve been reading a lot about glutathione and decided it’s important enough to supplement with daily as I’m over age 30. This world is so toxic and we need all the help we can get. We need to be on our A game when it comes to our detox system. (Everyone should definitely do some form of intermittent fasting too.)

The research is all over the place on what’s the best form, bioavailability, etc.. so I decided to try a few different brands and types to see how my body responsed. In general though, Thorne is my go to for any supplement. When there’s confusion on a particular supplement, ive always relied on Thorne to do the homework for me and I can just trust that their version will be best

So I started with NAC (Thorne) and didn’t really notice much difference. Maybe you’re not supposed to, but either way, I went on to try the other forns.

I then tried Thorne’s Glutathione-SR (this product) and saw a huge difference. My skin was less oily. I had some slightly dark spots under my eyes and they started to go away. And I felt like I was detoxing pretty well.

Then I tried Acetylated Glutathione by Double Wood. It was okay I guess. Didn’t really feel much. Similar to NAC.

So then I tried Nutrivein Liposomal Glutathione. My skin got super oily! I had heart palpitations. And honestly felt like garbage. This brand seems toxic. Cheap quality and they’re probably lying to us on what’s really in this.

All that said, I’m going to stick with Glutathione-SR as my go to!
