I have been using this exact brand for years. I always try to keep a bottle of it on hand … just in case my hemorrhoids start acting up. I have external and internal hemorrhoids that if I let them get out of hand can be very painful. We were headed to Las Vegas and I discovered that my Rutin was all gone. My Husband took all of my other bottle because the Dr suggested he use Rutin to help with Macular Degeneration. Not sure they help with that but I know they help with my hemorrhoids.
When I start having problems, I take 2 Rutin tablets in the morning and 2 in the evening with a full glass of water each time. I do this for 2 weeks straight. After a few days, the hemorrhoids feel much better but I don’t stop taking the tablets until 2 weeks are up. If I stop, they come back.
So far, I haven’t needed to take them. They also help me with constipation Just be sure when you take Rutin that you drink a lot of water.

My cat was diagnosed with chylothorax and rutin supposedly helps thin the chyle helping to improve the condition. My cat is difficult to pill, these pills have been the easiest to get my cat to take while other pills have been too large. I still have to cut these in half but the other pills I had I would have to cut in fourths which meant having to pill my cat four times a day instead of just two. My cat hasn’t had to have as many chest taps since taking 500 mg of rutin a day.

Thanks to Amazon, I just recently discovered the Thompson line of supplements & this was the first “formula” I tried. I’m VERY impressed with the quality & will be ordering more soon. Rutin’s a very powerful flavanoid that may actually help strengthen the “intima” (interior lining) of blood vessels. I first learned about it from Dr. Roger Williams’ groundbreaking research, conducted in the 50’s. You can read about it here: Wonderful World within You. What impressed me most was that this doctor lived to be 94 and his own personal “health program” included three foundations: pantothenic acid, daily 2 mile walks, and rutin. If it worked for him, I think I’ll put his inspiring example to work for myself : ) BTW, Dr. Williams continued active scientific research AND wrote books well into his EIGHTIES!
Rutin also has powerful anti-inflammatory action & can help ease joint pain; as several reviewers here can attest, it also stops hemorrhoidal inflammation (which, interestingly, is more of a vascular issue than you would think–Google for more info). Rutin has a bloodthinning effect, as well, so those on coumadin or warfarin may have to work with their doctor to adjust their dosages accordingly. Rutin can help with collagen production, which means it’s good for the structure of skin and joints. These are pressed tablets, not capsules, but they’re easy to swallow; highly recommended for their quality and value!

Anyone who has an issue with hemorrhoids this is a miracle. Taking 1 at night before bed heals the problem in days. Most feeling much better afer 24 hrs. Some can take a maintenance dose and have no issues. I have told many people about this brand who have suffered for years. I always get a messages thanking me. The only small issue I’ve heard of and researched is swelling above the knee/knee pain with continued use. I’m no Dr but I recommend if this happens to only use when you have a flare up and it seems to not cause a problem. Honestly it is a life saver for people who suffer from hemorrhoids! I love hearing the feedback. The first thing everyone says is “why hasn’t my Dr. told me about this?”. GIVE IT A TRY!
