I used to get headaches after really long runs. These salt tabs have eliminated those entirely. I take one about 1/2 an hour before a long workout, and then another tab once every hour or so. It’s an amazing difference, and I highly recommend using them. Obviously talk to your doctor first to see if it makes sense for your body, but it certainly does for mine. The tabs aren’t in a capsule, so it does taste a little salty if you don’t swallow it right away. If that bothers you, perhaps find a brand that is in a capsule. These are cheap and effective. I’ll definitely buy them again.

I always found that bike rides of 30 miles or more usually meant I’d start cramping, depending on how hard I rode. This would be regardless of how much I drank (or how little). Although, the harder I rode, the more difficult the cramping would be. I’ve actually had to get off and walk the bike and have someone pick me up, it’s been that bad. I tried many things with mixed results but ultimately nothing worked particularly well .. then an endurance athlete told me about the thermotabs.
Now, as soon as I feel a cramp coming on I’ll take one or two thermotabs (or endurolytes by Hammer, btw). Cramps will disappear, bottom line. I’ve used these on centuries and longer rides, they work .. and I’m now years into using them. Maybe this sounds like a commercial but if you have leg cramps as serious as I’ve had then you know it’s a serious problem and not much else helps. My only concern is higher salt intake can have health ramifications but I get a physical every year and the doctor says it’s okay.

I ordered these after I did a marathon distance trail run in which I had strong salt cravings. On the next marathon distance trail run I took one of these tablets every hour and they did effectively mitigate the salt cravings. The tablets are not too large and easy to swallow with water. I put them in a small ziplock bag so that moisture would not affect the integrity of the tablets. This seems to be an inexpensive solution in comparison to other athletic salt supplements that contain additional minerals that I felt were not necessary for improved/sustained performance.

Thermotabs are enabling me to train for and run a marathon! I used to always get leg cramps about 12 miles into a run, regardless of how much liquid and gels I consumed. I read in The Marathon Method: The 16-Week Training Program that Prepares You to Finish a Full or Half Marathon in Your Best Time that these tablets may help.
I stared using them and haven’t and don’t get cramps during runs. I’m now confidently training for a marathon, doing 20 mile runs with no cramps. For long runs I take 2 before I start and then more during the run as needed. These things have such an amazing effect for me.. After a 20mile run I started cramping up as I was taking my shoes off. Took a thermotab and within 30sec the cramping stopped. Instant relief.

Bought these for my husband because he was getting bad leg cramps from sweating so much in the hot weather. Even though he drank plenty of water, he was still getting cramps. Once he started taking these in the summer, the cramps stopped. Good product, and the price was right.

I like these because they have both sodium and potassium – and a lot of us really don’t get enough potassium in our diets. Sports drinks help but often not enough. This is the best thing since a balanced salt lick. I can pop a pill before and after a long ride, and drink an electrolyte replacement during it, and I feel great. If I still feel draggy, I can pop a second one an hour or two later.
When I get depleted, I can taste my saliva tasting different — flat. One of these or at most two after a ride usually restores it. If it gets depleted very long, I enter a sort of twilight state – my SO asks me stuff and I’m “Wha?”
WARNING: if you are on a low-salt regimen, DO NOT take these pills.
