It was smaller than I expected, but my fault for not checking. It shows outside temperature, humidity, inside temps and humidity. It makes the smaller screen sort of crowded. I just need to get used to it.

Excellent quality at this low price point. It has a nice design, easy-to-read display, and is very accurate. The instructions were a little tricky to follow, but I got it working after careful reading. I highly recommend this product. Important note: For the outdoor temperature sensor to correctly measure the temperature, do not mount the outdoor sensor against an outside wall enclosing a heated space. The temperature will read 2 to 3 degrees warmer. Also, placing the sensor in direct sunlight will increase the outdoor temperature reading by 5 or more degrees.

This thermometer was easy to set up, is easy to read, and seems accurate and is working well so far! I bought it to replace another similar one (different brand) that stopped working. I have bought this brand before and was happy with it. I am happy with this product. It’s nice to see the outside temperature at a glance.

No bells and whistles, but it does the job and is super easy to use. Also, comes with batteries!

The first problem will run into is that the battery compartment does not open in an obvious way, and the instructions are not helpful. I had to look at one of the user-supplied videos to see how it works. The tab of the battery cover that folds over the edge of the case actually pops up if you put your finger or the blade of a screwdriver under the edge of the tab. After that is is obvious.

I ordered one with two sensors so it was a small challenge to figure out how to get them to both operate as they are supposed to. After powering up the main unit it took a few tries to get the remotes to both work. After removing and replacing batteries a few times and resetting the remote sensors by pressing one of the two buttons inside the back of the sensor I got them to both work.

The details on the display are quite small and hard to read in dim light, but if you just wait, each remote will display sequentially, changing the channel about every eight seconds for however many remotes you have. The humidity accuracy is ±3% which is consistent with other sensors I have and is good enough. The temperature sensors are also good enough and the display size for Temp and Humidity are reasonably large (good enough to read from 8 feet away). The channel number and historic high/low and channel number are presented in something like a 9 pt font so get close or get a magnifying glass. Once you get used to it, you will be able to tell which channel you are looking at by how far the channel display is from the circular indicator below them. When I have it on a book shelf a few feet away it is easy to read. If I put it across the room the 3/4″ high characters for the outside sensor are still readable while the 1/2″ high characters for inside are a little hard to read (especially in dim light).

The price was reasonable at ~$25 for model with two remote sensors. Long term reliability will determine my overall satisfaction and I will update this review when something happens after October 2024.

The max/min function lets you choose whether you want to see the all-time high and low or just the high/low for 24 hrs (though there is no indication when the 24 hr period changes or re-starts).

I guess the temperature and humidity trend indication might be interesting or useful under some conditions (like if I had one sensor in a greenhouse or cold frame) but I don’t find that it adds much value for me. The range between the sensor and the central unit can be relatively large and it works effectively through multiple walls and floors, though I expect that the battery life won’t be great. We will see. If I think it is an issue I will update this review.

I bought the two sensor version for my wife — she wanted something to keep track of the temperature in her new greenhouse, while the second sensor shows outdoor conditions. Both do a great job, and have been working fine.

The receiving unit measures and shows indoor conditions, and at first it seemed to be way off base. It was showing temps in the kitchen anywhere from the mid 40’s to 80’s Fahrenheit, both of which are wildly off. We have since learned to keep the unit shielded from the kitchen window, and it is much better behaved now.

However, when we first noticed this problem, I contacted ThermoPro’s customer service via web form. I asked whether the accuracy issues we were seeing were expected, and what we should do. The web form also asks for proof of purchase, in the form an invoice (?), receipt, or a picture of the unit — this seemed oddly premature for a simple question, so I didn’t provide one. I indicated that I got it from Amazon. Yes, I know, I didn’t follow their rules.

The response from customer service was boilerplate — we need to see the invoice or the receipt before we can even answer your question. OK, standard BS, but then I read this line in this response:

    > If you received this as a gift, we will require you to contact whoever gifted you this product and request the invoice / order number from them so we may verify this purchase. Every online purchase will come with an invoice or record of purchase and is easily attainable.

Seriously? I get this as a gift, and I need ask the giver for the invoice to verify the purchase? What if I bought it at a yard sale? What if the giver is anonymous, or it was part of a Dutch auction? I guess I could take a picture of the unit to prove I own it, but to be honest, that should be completely unnecessary unless they are going to replace the unit. Further, if I don’t own the unit, why would I be spamming your web form looking for answers to customer support questions?

I’m fully aware that I may be acting and reacting unreasonably here, but the time they got back to me, we had figured out a solution to the problem, so I could afford to be truculent. I ignored their request and got on with my life.

Take from this what you will, and act within your own comfort zone.
