GRUMPY BEAR –
I was so excited to get this and try it out. I’ve had chocolate body washes before and have enjoyed the experience. So, was hoping for more of the same. Got a mixed bag with this one.
When I first opened this, the thing that struck me was the smell. It DOES smell like chocolate, but not the good kind. Almost smells like chocolate that’s past its expiration date? Has the nutty cocoa smell, but something feels TERRIBLY OFF about it. I tried using some to wash my hands; it didn’t feel bad but I could not get over the smell.
So, I came over here and had my review written out, telling my good brethren how this disappointed me, etc. etc. BUT, something made me take a few days to step back and use the product again. So I did. Which has now resulted in a 4 star review.
Don’t get me wrong–the smell is still off-putting–which is why I’ve had to remove a star. But man, the product itself, is super effective. It is almost like a bath cream. It is thick, luxurious and leaves your skin very moisturized after a shower. And a little goes a long way to. Also, THANKFULLY, the smell doesn’t last long on your skin and seems to dissipate as you’re showering. (Whew!)
Overall, I’d still recommend this product, especially if you’re not too-too sensitive about weird smells. I gave it three and a half stars for how good it feels on my skin and the moisturizing effects. Added in half a star for the fact this is a PoC owned business–gotta support our peeps our there. I really did not want to, but I HAD to take a star off for the smell.

This turns bath time into decadence. I love the smell. It sudses nicely and leaves my skin feeling clean but moisturized, and it’s not difficult to rinse off like some gel body washes. It’s my new favorite shower gel! It also works great for shaving. I’ve never been a shaving gel user, I’ve always just used shower gel, but some works better than others. This is one of the ones that works great. If you like the smell of chocolate, you will LOVE this.
Update: I love this more every time I use it. I’m buying some for my favorite people for a random gift. It’s that good.

I am absolutely in love with this body wash! It’s actually just fantastic! It has a great smell to it that you can really distinguish from other body washes when you use it. Definitely has that chocolate smell to it! It’s a bit thicker than other body washes too, which I enjoyed. Just downright a great product!

Wasn’t sure what to expect with a chocolate scented body wash as I find a lot of times things scented like chocolate don’t smell very natural but this one is just divine! I look forward to using it each night because it smells so good. And the body wash itself is a great quality. It lathers up easily and even on a wash cloth, lasts for the full shower. It’s also great for shaving with! Very silky and not drying at all. The scent does not linger on your skin afterwards, but it’s such a pleasure to use.

This body wash delivers on the luscious chocolate scent and the smooth silky sensation. The wash is very thick and viscous and I felt like I needed more of it than usual to get a good lather going. The aroma in the shower is great, but after it is rinsed off, there is no scent any more. My skin was clean and soft without any residual greasy coating feeling. I like this soap, but in my opinion the price is just too high. There is nothing that stands out as extraordinary or exclusive to justify the cost. Knocked off a star in the rating for the price. 5 stars for performance and delivering on its advertised properties of scent, moisturizing and cleaning.

This Chocolate Body Wash has (as you would guess) just the most delicious delightful smell to it! I was hoping it smell strongly of Chocolate, and it does! It is a white cream base for the soap. I kinda wish it was a clear gel instead, which I prefer for shower “gels” but it will be just fine, I’m sure. Very nice. I’m hoping this doesn’t make me hungry every time I use it!!!

This chocolate scented body wash is absolutely fantastic! The chocolate scent is strong and smells so much like real, sweet chocolate. This body wash lathers up really nicely too. The body wash is a shiny, silky, milky white color. The sweet scented lather is full of rich, full, soft bubbles. This body wash is handmade, cruelty free, and not tested on animals. This wonderful body wash is made in small batches and contains organic ingredients. I really like that this body wash contains certified organic oils, herbs, and botanicals. 😃

The formula is very moisturizing for the skin. I don’t know why, I am not fond of this particular chocolate scent. I like gourmand fragrances but wasn’t in love with the Roots Naturelle chocolate bliss body wash.
I prefer to use this as a hand wash because the aroma doesn’t linger too much. It would be overkill on my body though.
