    Have dry, prone to irritation skin, Grandpa Soap is mild, not a heavy tar scent.

    I love that it contains no SLS so it doesn’t dry my skin. The smell is smoky but greener than birch tar soap. Tbh it smells terrible from the tube but when you apply it it changes and opens up pretty nicely with notes of pine tar and some refreshing green notes (if you don’t mind tar’s smokiness of course)

    Love this brand since accidently finding it. Not the best pine tar smell like the actual soap, but it does the trick. From an old ballplayer, I love the pine tar smell.

    Skin feels smooth after 1st wash but it has a very strong “cigarette (tobacco)” smell. Despite me a smoker, I couldn’t stand the “cigarette” smell from this bodywash.

    If you’ve never smelled anything with pine tar, you must smell it before making a decision. Nothing you can read will accurately describe the strong and unique smell. I think another review stated is reminiscent of a campfire, and that’s probably the closest comparison I can think of. And this product has a very, very, very, very strong scent to it. If you can get past the scent, it works great, feels good, lathers nicely.

    If you like the scent of a campfire in the forest, you’ll like Grandpa’s Pine Tar Body Wash. Strong smell at first, but it fades. Surprisingly gentle on skin. Much better aroma and performance than ordinary pine tar soap.
