I was excited to try The Amino CO. – Life – Essential Amino Acids Supplement Powder with All Bcaas & Eaas, Citrulline & Carnitine for maintaining Heart and Muscle Strength for Healthy Aging – Grape (6.7oz). Think this is a perfect companion to a workout program with its list of ingredients. Unfortunately I don’t enjoy the grape flavor as not as expected. I try to mix it with a little less water and stir in an additional flavored powder supplement I take to cut the unpleasant grape taste. I don’t know if I’ve taken it long enough to gauge its effects but it seems to leave me less sore and have more endurance for my daily workout. The container label suggests need to use for six weeks to see all results. In researching the company and product found they have several patents pending and have completed case studies showing the benefits. For me the serving price is high since the container has 30 scoops and it is recommended you take 1 -3 scoops a day so potentially a heavy user has a 10 day instead of 30 day supply. It is an intriguing product and recommend if you have a need for its benefits and fits your budget.

For some reason the seller hides the fact that this product is artificially sweetened with Sucralose. One wonders why they would cut the label short to hide that ingredient on their website?

These ingredients are important for everyone’s bodies and as for the taste, it’s okay, especially compared to some I’ve tried through the years; not great but, definitely not bad at all to me. The container arrived quickly, was sealed well and comes with a 30 day supply, including a scoop. All considered, I feel better using some of them for decades.
Cons: I feel better after taking it in the morning but, I don’t see any information on their Manufacturing or Testing processes. Also, from decades of consistently using seemingly countless supplements, the price for these specific ingredients in this is quite a bit higher, about double, from the last one I had recently and that one showed the specific amounts of all 9 aminos.

I wanted to believe that the benefits would justify the cost, but in the end simply can’t recommend this. There are 30 servings in the canister (double the size of the actual content) and it is recommended using it three times a day, for a 10 day course. At nearly $90 that is extremely expensive with no clear benefit. They claim there are studies but don’t produce a link or anything either on the can or the listing for the product. This is where they really lost me. The grape flavor is well, I can’t sugar coat it, it is awful. I tried it with 8 oz of water as recommended and it was just too strong. I tried it with 12 oz of water and it was only slightly more tolerable. I tried it with a smoothly and while the flavor was diluted, it make the smoothly have a taste that simply was not natural or pleasant. So finally I tried with my coffee. They suggest that as an option but before I even tried it I had doubts about a grape flavor in my coffee. I was so right! A few sips and I had to throw it out because it completely ruined my coffee. So my long and short is that it is way too expensive, doesn’t taste good, and there are other Amino acids that have the same benefits with no awful taste and at a reasonable price.

Okay so amino acids have become insanely popular in the last year with exercisers and fitness people. Its all i hear people talking about is their BCAA drink. lol. There are tons of different powders and capsules to choose from. I had high hopes for this one because of the cost. Unfortunately the taste is quite yuck. To spend that kind of money, I would need to have something I don’t dread taking daily. I also don’t feel like it is giving me any more benefits than my other BCAAs that were way cheaper and more pleasant. I will finish these, but will not continue. I will say though it does mix well into water and did come sealed.

You likely already appreciate the health benefits of this supplement so I won’t bore you with those details. What I will tell you instead is that this (purple) grape flavoring is absolutely delicious! I really really like it and so does my partner. We both actually look forward to taking this on a regular basis. I’ll be a repeat buyer, for sure!

I use it as a post workout drink and it is very beneficial to me, I can feel it. It is also good for regulating blood pressure and glucose.

I searched everywhere on the Amazon write up and on the Amino Co. website for extra ingredients but I couldn’t find them. I naively thought that they would have to let you know before you buy it if it has artificial sweeteners. This product contains surculose which is an artificial sweetener. Surculose causes me GI upset immediately but even if it doesn’t seem to bother you studies show that its unhealthy. Studies show it destroys good bacteria in your gut and causes inflammation. I don’t understand why a health product like this would include something so unhealthy. I would rather have it unsweetened or sweetened with monk juice or even stevia. I am angry that they put surculose in this product and twice as upset that they don’t let you know before you order it.
