This kit came with everything spas described. We had as much inventorying and setting up the kit as we did when mixing the ingredients to make the lip balm and lip gloss. I truly love that there are experiments at the end of the instruction book that can be performed with the very same balm and gloss already mixed so there is no waste associated.

My young daughter has been going through a period where she loves lip balm and keeps using the set we got her -each with a different flavor, pretending that they are lipsticks. She then about freaked out when we got her this craft, which allowed her to make her own lip balm.
The kit itself is eye pleasing, with a complete set of all the tools you need to make your lip balms, and a very colorful instruction manual, but it is a little difficult sometime to see the measurements, which means that you really have to help your young one with this kit. (You can’t just leave them with it, alone, and expect anything good to happen!)
Even if the product in the end wasn’t the most usable all the time, depending on how carefully you followed the instructions, and whether you were careful with the measurements, the journey and experimentation made it all worth it.

This is a fun kit for learning how to follow directions and for teaching kiddos to be more “scientific”. My little nieces tend to get gender-based gifts, so I like to send them science kits to expand their brains. Unfortunately they don’t really enjoy the science kits, so I thought this would be a nice way to stick in some science with their “girly” gift. They had a blast making lip glosses and their mom wasn’t overly annoyed with me (she really doesn’t like sitting down to do science kits). This kit was basically a win/win for everyone. I don’t imagine all the dies and chemical products are necessarily the healthiest for kids to apply on their lips, so if you are organic and natural, perhaps you pass this kit by. However, my nieces enjoyed making the lip glosses and they are super happy to carry them in their backpacks for reapplying at school. And I’m happy to provide a gift that requires their brains to follow some directions and problem-solve.

This was a fun lab set for the family to all take part in. The set comes with multiple colors, shimmer, applicators for lip gloss use, and plenty of containers for the lip balms. The set has many stickers which young kids may enjoy placing on the materials.
Once you’ve completed the lip balms they last a week but you’ll start to see them clump up as they settle apart. The tastes aren’t overpowering but are noticeable enough to experiment with. My kids enjoyed that aspect a lot. I do wish they included another taste or two so you could experiment further as every taste added would give a lot of unique mix opportunities.
The set is fun and the kids liked it so I’d recommend it.

Great little gift for any little kiddo. My daughter and little 4 year old son both thought this was a fun little activity. They had fun making the lip balms the colors and and fragrances they wanted. They made little gifts for family and friends. The different fragrances weren’t bad either, sometimes these kits can have off smelling ingredients but this kit actually has some good scents. It does seem to be a bit on the pricier side in comparison to other lip balm kits. Over all we enjoyed it
