I am a sucker for fragrance. Terre De Mars Imminence Body and Hand Nourishing Milk doesn’t have one. I am disappointed because of this.
This balm is lighter than I thought it would be. It’s not particularly creamy; it’s pretty liquidy in consistency (very much a body milk). It sinks in…sort of. I have dry skin, so I have built up a collection of body balms, creams, milks, oils, etc. If it adds hydration, I own a version of it. The Terre De Mars is a medium sort of body milk. My skin didn’t feel luxuriously hydrated, but it didn’t feel dry within the hour. However, for this price point, I expect a bit more.
As for scent, the advertising mentions a light fragrance, but I could not discern anything. The body and hand milk is certified organic (made in France), so that will probably please some consumers. Pleasant, but not outstanding.

This lotion stinks. It’s not funky like something spoiled, more like a homemade lotion that’s old and barely scented. Just not appealing in any way. I gave two stars because the moisture is decent. I will not be keeping this product because life is too short for mediocre lotion.

A pleasant moisture cream that works well to moisturize the skin without leaving a greasy mess. Absorbs well enough and makes the skin feel nice. To me, it feels as though it might contain some sort of silicone substance, but I can’t find anything like that on their ingredient list. From what I can tell, this is fairly clean. Moisturizes the skin and seems quite gentle.
There is an ever so slight spicy scent that smells to my nose as though it might contain a very little bit of frankincense. The list just says “parfum” but does not identify. It’s very mild and dissipates soon after application. Pleasant and clean smelling. Will probably appeal to men, though women too would most likely like the scent.
Though this is a fairly good moisturizer, the tube only contains 3.52 fluid ounces. And at $25 (plus they are offering a 20% off coupon) (today’s price), I have to deduct a star for such a high price for so little. It’s good, though not spectacular. Honestly, for me, it falls right on the line between 4 and 5 stars. Because of the high price, I have to default to the 4 star rating.

This is a lightweight hand cream that works very well for me. It is silky but not at all greasy on the hands. It works quickly to revive dry hands. There is fragrance added that smells like a floral blend to me. Since the description of the product indicates it is scented, it was not a surprise. It is pleasant and lingers a bit, lightly.
I like that it works very quickly and I can resume work or knitting without getting stains on anything. Made in France. It’s my go to hand cream for busy days.

I really liked this balm. First, you need a small amount to cover a large area. Second, the scent is an incredibly pleasant aroma mix between coffee and aloe vera that lasts, third but most importantly, the skin feels so fresh just like a cool shower on a hot day!

This Imminence Body and Hand Nourishing Milk from Terre De Mars is a nice moisturizer. I, above all else, look for clean ingredients when purchasing makeup and skincare. Terre De Mars describes themselves on their website as, “The first unisex brand of natural coffee-based care, offers luxury beauty products produced entirely in France, organic certified, vegan and cruelty free.”.
Here is a list of the ingredients in this cream for your consideration: AQUA (WATER), ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE*, GLYCERYL STEARATE SE, DICAPRYLYL ETHER, GLYCERIN, DICAPRYLYL CARBONATE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, COFFEA ARABICA (COFFEE) SEED EXTRACT**, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, XANTHAN GUM, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, CITRIC ACID, SODIUM GLUCONATE, LIMONENE, TOCOPHEROL, LINALOOL, , CITRONELLOL, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE). 99% natural origin of total. 20% of total ingredients are from organic farming.
For reference, I have very dry sensitive skin. I have tried this moisturizer a few times as a hand cream and it performs well. It has a light texture and soaks into the skin quickly. It leaves my hands feeling soft and nourished. It does have a slight scent that I’m not really a fan of.
Something to note is that the tube came unsealed.
I think that this Imminence Body and Hand Nourishing Milk from Terre De Mars is a bit overpriced. There are better options out there for cheaper, in my opinion.

In terms of effectiveness, I found that this worked well to soften and moisturize skin. It does take a few minutes to fully absorb though and leaves skin looking and feeling “dewy” (but not greasy) for about five minutes after application. It does penetrate well and seems to help keep hands from drying out even after handwashing many times. The lotion is thick and smooth and easy to apply. The tube makes it easy to decant as little as you may want without wasting it. The scent is very slightly floral to my senses, but it doesn’t linger after it is applied. A little also goes a long way so this modest amount should last awhile if you’re careful.

Terre De Mars 011 Imminence Body and Hand Nourishing Milk is a white lotion I’ve been using as a hand and body lotion. It absorbs quickly, feels nongreasy and leaves my skin silky and soft. But my dry skin doesn’t feel like it gets enough moisture and doesn’t feel comforted by this lotion. This lotion may suit other skin types better or be good for those who prefer a lightweight lotion, but it doesn’t hydrate as much I like. .
This lotion has fragrance listed as the last ingredient. The scent is moderately strong at first. I can’t really pinpoint it, but I think it smells spicy first, a bit sweet and also like it has bug repellant mixed in. It’s not a fan of the scent, and it’s given me a headache a few times now. I’ve enjoyed all other Terre De Mars products I’ve tried (and love the Insurrection 007 hand wash), but this lotion is okay at best. 3 stars. Made in France.
