My elderly mother enjoys traveling, but at her age, it’s mostly limited to cruises. During our last cruise together, she caught COVID-19. Fortunately, she got a booster shot before she went so her symptoms were on the mild side, but she did appear to have a temperature. For future cruises, we will bring this digital thermometer with us. Since it’s not a mercury thermometer, it’s perfect for traveling because we don’t have to worry about it breaking. Also, the screen of this thermometer is large, as well as the digital numbers so it’s easy for my mom to see them. I wish the backlight stayed on longer or there was a button to manually turn it on/off when needed, but if you view it with adequate light, you’ll be able to see the numbers. Build quality is great with the device appearing to be well-made. Most importantly, the temperature reading is accurate (I compared it to the mercury thermometers we have), and less time is needed to produce a reading when compared to a traditional thermometer. Comes with a carrying case and is easy to pack away. The price point is quite affordable as well. All in all, quite satisfied with this thermometer, and will be an important addition to the first-aid kit we pack for traveling.

This thermometer is great! It comes with a handy little case, which makes it easy to store or toss in a bag without worrying about it getting dirty. The screen has large, clear numbers that are super easy to read.
Using it is really simple too. Just push the “on” button, stick it in your mouth, and wait for about 8-9 seconds. The reading is quick, though I imagine it might be tricky to keep in a toddler’s mouth for that long.
The only hiccup I had was when I first got it—I struggled a bit to open the battery cover to remove the insulating strip, but once I figured it out, it was smooth sailing.
Before you stick it into your mouth, you have to wait for the screen to read “LO.” The instructions it gives is simple and straight forward. Also, be aware that depending on what you eat or drink right before you take a reading will affect your temp. I just drank a cold smoothie before taking the picture so it gave me a low reading. I can imagine if you drink a hot coffee before putting the thermometer in your mouth, it’ll give you a high reading.
Overall, I really like it! It’s practical and does the job well.
