I normally buy a different tea tree oil exfoliant, but thought I would try this one as reviews were good. I use this on my feet every other time in the shower to keep the dry skin at bay in the summer. This stuff just seems to slough off just the stuff, not the skin. Even with a body buffer it seems to do nothing.

This is a great scrub ~ I like to wash my feet before bed, and this is the best scrub to exfoliate feet which accumulate calluses quite easily and experience daily sweat in shoes. But as a suggestion, I would simply add that with all of the wonderful fresh ingredients that are so good for the body, natural and soothing, that TheraTree go back to the drawing board to reformulate to a more “clean-rinsing” scrub. Maybe everyone else is fine with this, but I wasn’t. The amount of rinsing action required to get this stuff off uses a lot of water. This isn’t a mud in a tube, per se, but it is heavy and it doesn’t rinse off easily, possibly because of some of the oils. So I always know that I will need to rinse several times and rinse again under the tap, grab a wash cloth and continue to work the small pieces off of the skin to ensure there is nothing left. Often, there is residue left in the tub. That’s really the only thing I didn’t like about the scrub. An easier rinsing scrub would be greener, and better for ease of use. Right now, it’s laborious to get it off. Even so with towel drying my feet, I’m not sure I got everything off because the scrub clings a lot, needs to be worked off of the skin with the hands, eventually using a wash cloth to continue to wipe it off, etc. So my suggestion is to study other scrubs, figure out the ones that rinse cleanly and efficiently, and see if you can add that into your formula. Then you’ll have a 5-star product. Until then, I will only use it occasionally because the rinsing action of the product requires so much work. I think further testing to this degree would have been helpful.

I really enjoy this product. I didn’t expect to like it so much. I will likely purchase it time and again. I originally bought it for my feet as a replacement for a product no longer manufactured, but found myself using it to help exfoliate skin, and found it especially helpful when ingrown hairs where present. It truly helps my skins complexion as well. A pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this product.

I have sensitive skin so I only use all natural facial cleansers. I also get eczema on my fingers if I don’t use an all natural soap. This has never irritated or over dried my face or skin. I use it everyday in the shower. I wish it came in a bigger bottle or in a dispenser because I want to use it more often. Using it once a day on your face will last 5 months so if you want to use it before bed also I would recommend two bottles.

I tried this months ago for a case of foot fungus that I had. It worked rather well and I do have to admit that it was drying my skin out – a whole lot, like my foot started to feel like dry paper. BUT with that being said, it is doing as it is suppose to do. Many people leave reviews about tea tree oil soaps then give it 1 or 2 stars.
Those who do that obviously only focused on the end result of the soap and not the process and the process takes a little trip into some science. See if you can follow folks, now fungus can cause rashes in places on the body that are not well ventilated and tend to develop moisture such as the armpits (for a simple example) now that said moisture under the arms is a breeding ground for the spread of said fungus which is why showers are also a great mode of fungus transportation onto the foot. Anyway, the point is to rid the body of the fungus and if moisture causes and spreads it, then drying it out will help kill it off – now in comes the tea tree oil soap, its that simple. If you went to a Podiatrist then the Dr. will prescribe you a moisture locking foot cream you are to use AFTER washing with the soap. You use the soap to dry the foot, then use the cream to provide a little moisture to ail the drying without providing a wet environment for fungus to return and thrive.
I ran out the soap and didn’t replenish, plus before I got the jist of how it all worked I wasn’t to pleased either and stopped once it finished. Now that I understand how it works I would buy again in combination with a good cream moisturizer. I must say that it did improve the skin on my foot. Two more rounds (bottles) of it on a consistent basis I should be in the clear.
The mint is a bit strong in this line of products but it gives a cooling effect. The same goes for the shower gel, and speaking of….why put anything minty on your man or lady bits? That’s just nuts! Of course some of you burned. Scrub your pits, feet, under the breast and areas such as that which gets little ventilation, then switch off to something gentile like dove or an organic soap for the other sensitive parts of the body.
