I really like the flavors of the Play Hydrated Electrolyte Tabs. They taste better than Nuun tabs and are more flavorful in the same amount of water (I use them in my Camelbak 25oz bike bottles).
The only reason I even tried them was starting the keto diet, and these are more compatible than Nuun tabs. Glad I found them!

I heard about Play Hydrated while training for a half marathon and had the opportunity to try the Citrus Pack flavors. I’ve used similar products and I will say, Play Hydrated performs and tastes just as well, if not better! It’s easy to use, easily portable if you want to bring a tube with you for an activity, and helps replenish electrolytes and vitamins! One of the things I liked the most was the pronounced flavors, they’re so good! It’s hard to choose only one but I’d say I like the Fruit Punch and Orange best so far. The only “con” I can think of is that when used as directed by the label it was too sweet for me. I drink all beverages unsweetened so even something that is slightly sweet to most is likely too sweet for me. That said, when I increased the water part of the ratio it was much better! I prefer doubling the ounces of water per tab but this is just a preference. I’ll definitely be using Play Hydrated for my upcoming race and would recommend it as a great hydration option if you’re a runner!

I looked at this product strictly as a hydration product, not so much for recovery after the gym! From that point of view I truly loved Play. Bottom line is this does a great job at keeping you hydrated and very easy to use no matter where you are.
Taste – All the flavors were light and tasted as labeled, which I liked as a lot of products tend to get on the sweeter side these days. The light flavors made it very easy to drink quickly if needed, or to sip and enjoy. My personal rankings (your mileage may vary) are Orange, Fruit Punch, Strawberry Lemonade, Lemon Lime. However, I would drink any one of these!
Effectiveness – These did a great job at keeping me hydrated as well as hydrating me. I took these on my rest days from the gym (I go 4 times a week) and this aided in recovery when it comes to hydrating up. The label claims there is 2.5g of Leucine, but this is listed in the bottom ingredients and not fully disclosed. Also I typically like around 3g of Leucine to trigger Muscle Protein Synthesis, but this doesage is pretty common, so not a big deal.
Price – I think the price is fair. $33.60 for 40 servings, that comes out to less than a dollar a serving which is nice as the ingredients here do work! No issues here.
I am glad I tried this product, this is likely going to be in my cupboard going forward for my rest days. My only improvement suggestions would be are to fully disclose the Leucine on the label, and possibly bump it up to 3-3.2g. Then you can almost compete with a post workout recovery mix, for those that do not need all the BCAA/EAAs. Great job and I highly recommend.

These hydration tablets did not disappoint at all. Play Hydrated Sports Hydration Tablets’ flavor is pure and clean, with a nice balance of sweetness and dilution. The tablets take about a minute to dissolve, sometimes slightly longer. This could be an issue if you want to drink immediately. You can speed this up by shaking your water bottle or container.
Furthermore, these tablets provide additional benefits such as immune support and muscle recovery, distinguishing them from other options. I cannot verify the claims of immunity and muscle recovery, but I appreciate the ease of use and environmentally friendly approach they provide. The orange flavor is my favorite, and the no-sugar content is a bonus. It’s hard to find a no-sugar hydration option that doesn’t taste like pure salt.

I’m really enjoying this after my workouts in the morning. I love that it has no sugar since I eat a keto diet.
This takes about a minute to dissolve and once it does the taste is light and refreshing not overly sweet or tangy so it goes down really easily when you need to quickly rehydrate. I would definitely purchase these again Even though they Are a bit pricey I’ll actually use them instead of having them sit and go to waste in my cabinet.
