There are supplements that are very effective for intracellular h pylori infection: this broccoli sprout supplement, ascorbyl palmitate, and zinc carnosine. If you can do all three has the greatest result. However ascorbyl palmitate is a very potent form of vitamin c that at elevated doses will make you anemic and will take time to recover from (i assure you, not fun – it will affect your heart until you recover). Zinc carnosine seems to completely, and i mean completely, block magnesium absorption at gut level, and this effect takes 4 hours – Not fun either.
Note that if you have a very stubborn infection, as we have had, it could be that your copper levels are high at tissue level – including stomach tissue. Note that both vitamin c and zinc eliminate copper one way or another, which is why they are probably effective. For stubborn infections, check your dietary sources of copper, and limit to absolute necessary intakes. I found the least irritating source of copper was blackstrap molasses taken on empty stomach. Once your copper goes down, the infection will be more manageable. I needed to take all three of the supplements mentioned above to be symptom free, and i took 8 broccoli sprout caps, which really suppressed my thyroid. Now i take 1 broccoli sprouts cap 3 times daily, with monolaurin pellets after meals, and lifeway kefir – full fat works better, and this keeps things in check, with no side effects to speak of. By the way, red meat is normally a no no with this infection, however i have found that grass fed beef does not irritate my stomach, which makes me believe that conventional beef is probably copper intoxicated, and when you consume the copper toxic tissue, well h pylori are having a party in your stomach. Note that conventional beef are fed high copper diets, which are grains. Grass is probably very low on copper like most vegetables and leafy greens are low, thus cows are probably not really meant to consume copper high foods – ie, grains.

I’ve read about medical studies involving sulforaphane and autism and thought I would give it a try with my son. He is 15 and has been on Risperidone for years to help with his over sensitivity to input, sounds, things touching him, visual stimulation, etc. which caused meltdowns and inability to concentrate at school. Although it has certain side effects and the cost of having to go to a neurologist just to get the prescription was extremely expensive, we found that he would have such horrible behavior when we tried to take him off that it was worth it. So, when I read Sulforaphane had a similar effect as Risperidone, I had to try it. And it worked wonderfully! No decline in behavior whatsoever! His teachers (same for 3 years) have seen no behaviors to note this year! We’ve had no bathroom accidents at school (which were at least once a month) I personally have seen his personality wake up a bit more and he is inquisitive! He asks me questions about all kinds of things! I felt the prescription dulled his brain and his personality. He now takes two pills a day of Sulforaphane (for 3 months now) and I’m hoping to increase it to see what improvements may happen. Each kid reacts differently to different things but I highly recommend just trying it. It has been a blessing and I love that I’m not giving him a dangerous drug anymore.
