This is a review of Swanson’s Lycopene 20mg #60. Lycopene is known to be one of the more powerful carotenoids, yet its benefit is more preventative than remedial. It is said to preserve prostate health, integrity of cell membranes. Acts to offset UV damage. All three are essential concerns. All three can be palliated. Those were the three benefits which led me to follow the recommended usage of 20mg daily. I have taken this for years with food to enhance absorption. Well tolerated. No ill effects. I have trusted the Swanson’s brand for a number of supplements due to its quality and consistency. It is cheaper on their website at times with sales but not consistently. It pays to comparison shop. I have not found other brands to be as affordable. This is a supplement and does not replace adequate nutrition, avoidance of sun damage or other stressors, and regular medical checkups. Recommended.
