Scant research shows that somehow (and they don’t know how), chromium picolinate allows sugar to process in the body. The effect is less probability of diabetic amputation, and noticeably less diabetic neuropathy. It was suggested by a pharmacist who had a lot of positive feedback from customers. Chromium Picolinate only slightly drops blood glucose levels, so it is save for diabetics to suddenly try it (though doctors caution to use it a little bit at a time to check the effect).

If you take chromium, the amount you get here for the price is great. I’ve purchased this several times. Will likely continue to, unless there’s a better deal. But cheaper isn’t always better. Some supplements you really are getting what you pay for. But most Swanson supplements I’ve been satisfied with. Every bit as good as more expensive brands.

I began taking chromium picolinate thirty years ago, hoping to raise my energy level. Along with fish oil and a vitamin suppliment, I’m pretty happy with my day to day vitality. But I’m a big believer in the placebo effect, so don’t expect to be doing any cartwheels. My eating habits aren’t very good, but I seem to stay on an even keel. It’s my first time using this brand, but this is the best bargain I’ve seen since I’ve been using this product.
