If you have inflammatory digestive issues this makes the difference between being able to eat and having to involuntary fast due to the pain of eating. I spent a year using OTC digestive enzymes that did not help and there were weeks when I could eat very little or just do bone broth, then I read about pancreatic enzymes and found this one and 2 others that really do work. Even though I may experience a flare up due to bad eating habits (too many carbs) the flare up doesn’t last as long and the pain is not as bad as long as I stop eating the wrong foods. I was using one that cost around $35 on Amazon and it worked too but decided to try this one bc of the price and this one works just as well. If I eat a 2nd meal in a day I’ll use the Garden of Life Ultra enzyme for that second meal (because I found it b4 I found this product and I wanted to use it up before it expiredl). It works well too but I’ve not used it alone so I don’t know how potent it is but this one works well alone.

I got this bottle because I was in search of a lower priced substitute for the exact formula I was taking previously from a different brand (that was more expensive). I trust the Solaray brand and I was surprised that this was priced at less than half the price of the other one. I spent hours reading about digestive enzymes. When I first took this exact formula from a different brand, I didn’t even know how great digestive enzymes were. I literally just tried them on a whim. What I experienced and realized more and more over time is that digestive enzymes are amazing for people like me. I almost always get bloated and feel extremely full and heavy after meals (particularly dinner). I hated that because all the work I put in to toning my abs was hidden behind the bloat. With digestive enzymes my bloat was literally gone. One capsule before meals, and bam, no bloat. As mentioned, I spent a lot of time researching digestive enzymes after my amazing experience with them. I saw some many different types of enzymes online, read all the reviews, countless health blogs, and the weighing in on whether the vegetarian ones are better or worse than the non vegetarian ones. Anyway, I decided to stick with what worked for me – Pancreatin -and at the exact same dosage. Now these particular ones from Solaray are the same except that they’re vegetarian. Apparently some people absorb them into the body differently and this also has some effect on how soon they activate. After using these for a while now my opinion is that these are nearly as good as the non vegetarian ones albeit cheaper, and more sustainably priced to be used on a daily basis. So, in conclusion I’m thrilled that I’ve introduced these into my diet. I don’t find them just as potent as my previous brand, but they’re still pretty effective and really make a big difference in my life (and my newfound flat stomach :)). I’d suggest that if you’re curious about digestive enzymes, you start with these. They contain Pancreatin which is said to address the digestion of carbs, proteins and fats. If Pancreatin alone doesn’t work for you, then try venturing out into different enzymes but my opinion is why introduce so many enzymes into your daily intake if not necessary? Digestive enzymes are slightly controversial so I’d rather stay on the safer side and not introduce more enzymes than necessary into my body.

If you have entered the season of life where it seems like you are not digesting food properly (especially fats) this could be what you’ve been looking for.
Several years ago I started having trouble with my digestion system. Without giving too much detail, let’s just say it moves too fast…the opposite of constipation. Since I have a history of Crohn’s Disease, doctors are always quick to suggest a colonoscopy if I haven’t’ had one in over 5 years. Well, I had one done and it confirmed what I already know, my Crohn’s Disease is in full remission and has been for nearly 20 years. They ran numerous blood and stool tests and found nothing…no parasites, no Celiac Disease…nothing. Yet, I continued to have trouble (no pain, just a very fast system) and it seemed as if white meat chicken and rice was the only meal I could handle. With the exception of Panera chicken noodle soup or Chick Fil A chicken noodle soup I was destined to never enjoy a restaurant meal again. No matter how hard I tried to choose a lean meat with acceptable sides, disappointment in my digestion would always take place the following morning.
I Googled and Googled over the years and still couldn’t find anyone with my exact symptoms. Then one day, a few months ago, I found people on a message board who were raving about Pancreatin 1300. So anxious was I to put this to the test, that I could not even wait for Prime 2-day shipping. My local health food store had it and though it was several dollars more, I raced over and picked up a bottle.
The results were amazing. My condition was massively improved within 12-24 hours. I still don’t eat extremely fattening foods, but I really never did, short of a decadent dessert/meal here and there. I take one to two capsules a day during my most significant meals. It is not a life saver, per se, but I can attest to these capsules being a “Quality of Life” saver.
I have been doing this for a full three months or so and it continues to work. I now have the capsules on Subscribe and Save and I am so thankful for their affordability.
If you think you have a similar problem to mine, this will be a small price to pay to determine if they will work for you, too.

I am 61 years young, and have digestive issues most of my life. I must have tried at least 20 or more different products like this through the years. This is the BEST I have ever used. You can even prove it works by a simple experiment. Make a thick smoothie with some fat in it such as nuts in a blender. when it still looks thick and hard to blend, add 1 or 2 of these opened up on a lower speed. Watch it thin out fast!!! Another simpler test. Open a capsule and pour it in some pudding. Mix it with a spoon and watch it thin out!!!
